SAFE TAYO! Together for an HIV-Aware Community

CBSUA stands for a safe, healthy, and informed community, and this February 13, 2026, in celebration of International Condom Day, we join a collective effort to raise awareness on HIV prevention, sexual health, and responsible decision-making.

The FSSC fully supports this advocacy and encourages every student to engage seriously and respectfully. During the event, participants can access free and confidential HIV testing, receive condoms and contraceptives, and attend an HIV & STI 101 seminar, all designed to equip us with knowledge and tools to protect ourselves and others.

This initiative reminds us that knowledge empowers, safety is a choice, and genuine care for one another strengthens our community. Let us break the stigma, support each other, and approach this advocacy with Care, Respect, and Discipline.

This initiative is carried out in close coordination with the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) and the University Research Office, to ensure proper evaluation of applications, transparent implementation, and alignment with the Universityโ€™s student support and research frameworks. This program is designed to support students facing financial challenges and to encourage active participation in research and academic development. It reflects our shared commitment to care, equity, and equal access to educational opportunities across all CBSUA campuses.

Through this program, the OSR and FSSC aim to provide timely assistance to help students meet their essential academic needs. It also offers research support to students who wish to develop their ideas and projects but lack the necessary resources. Every stage of the process is guided by transparency, accountability, and strong community partnership.

The Office of the Student Regent (OSR), in coordination with the Federation of Supreme Student Council (FSSC) and together with all accredited student organizations of CBSUA, successfully convened the 1st University-Wide Regular Meeting for the Second Semester tonight, January 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:20 PM via Google Meet. Initiated and spearheaded by the Student Regent, Hon. Caren Mae M. Latonero, the meeting aimed to ensure proper coordination, alignment, and planning among student leaders for the Second Semester.

The meeting served as a venue to assess current operations, address organizational and departmental concerns, and deliberate on the priority programs, policies, and strategic directions of the OSR, FSSC, and all accredited student organizations of CBSUA.

Key agenda items included the clearance process and related reports, preparations for the 1st University-Wide Orientation for Student Leaders, the proposed General Legislative Council, scheduling of the 2nd regular face-to-face University-Wide Meeting of Student Leaders for the Second Semester, clarification of mandates and guidelines on partner activities with the Federation, and concerns raised during the open forum.

Attendance and active participation of the Governors and Presidents of all accredited student organizations highlighted the shared commitment to coordination, alignment, and effective student leadership across the University.

The Federation of Supreme Student Council successfully concluded its First Regular Meeting for the Second Semester today, January 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:20 pm. The meeting formally commenced with a kurumustahan, allowing officers to reconnect, share updates, and foster camaraderie before proceeding with the agenda.

The meeting served as a venue to assess current operations, address departmental concerns, and deliberate on the Federationโ€™s priority programs, policies, and strategic directions. Officers presented departmental reports, discussed priority projects and pending proposals, and shared updates on various student-centered initiatives. Matters deliberated included clearance processes, team-building plans, benchmarking activities, judiciary and secretariat reports on inactive members, scheduling of the next regular meeting, and preparations for upcoming local SSC elections.

The meeting reaffirmed the Federationโ€™s commitment to transparency, coordination, and unified service in advancing the welfare of the Stateans.
