Every October, the world comes together to observe World Mental Health Month, a time to strengthen awareness, challenge stigma, and reaffirm a fundamental truth: Mental health is not a privilege reserved for a few; it is a human right that belongs to everyone.

As we commemorate this meaningful month, the CBSUA Peer Facilitators Organization, together with the OSAS–Guidance and Counseling Unit, stands in solidarity with individuals navigating struggles that may remain unseen. We recognize that meaningful support begins not with having all the answers, but with the willingness to listen, understand, and respond with compassion.

Let us build a university where seeking help is recognized as courage, where vulnerability is met with understanding rather than judgment, and where no student feels that their struggles must be faced alone.

Because awareness without action is incomplete. Compassion without understanding can fall short. And advocacy becomes meaningful only when it creates spaces where people feel safe, respected, and supported.

We cannot always see the battles people are fighting, but we can help create a world where they no longer have to fight them in silence.
