The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Organic Agriculture Center (OAC) has earned reaccreditation as a Farm Tourism Camp Site from the Department of Tourism Regional Office V (DOT RO V), recognized as a destination for agricultural learning, tourism, and related activities.

The reaccreditation was formally granted on September 10, 2026, in Legazpi City, Albay, affirming the OAC’s compliance with the requirements set by DOT for farm tourism establishments.

Located at CBSUA Pili Campus, the OAC serves as a venue for showcasing organic agriculture practices and providing learning opportunities that connect agriculture with tourism.

The reaccreditation further opens opportunities for the OAC to welcome visitors and strengthen its role in promoting organic agriculture, farm-based learning, and agricultural tourism in Bicol.

CBSUA-OAC ASSISTS BFAWO ON VERMICOMPOSTING HANDS -ON TRAINING

The CBSUA Organic Agriculture Center (OAC) provided technical assistance to the Burunyog Farmers and Workers Organization (BFAWO) of San Roque, Calabanga, Camarines Sur on Vermicomposting Hands-on Training

The activity focused on strengthening the farmers’ knowledge and skills in producing quality vermicompost using African Nightcrawlers, promoting sustainable waste management, soil health, and organic farming practices.

Through knowledge sharing and hands-on guidance, CBSUA-OAC continues to support farmers and workers in adopting practical and sustainable organic agricultural technologies
