The Change of Command Ceremony, Silent Drill Presentation, and Graduation Ceremony of the Advance and Basic ROTC Class of 2026 of General Santos Academy, Inc. served as a formal recognition of the cadets’ successful completion of their training and leadership. The event highlighted their academic and military achievements while emphasizing the continuity of leadership through the ceremonial transfer of command.

The Silent Drill Presentation showcased the discipline, precision, and teamwork of the cadets, while the Graduation Ceremony marked the culmination of the 1CL’s journey as they officially concluded their tenure in the Advance ROTC program. This meaningful occasion symbolized both an ending and a new beginning honoring past accomplishments and inspiring future excellence.

The ceremony, held on April 18, 2026, at the Polomolok Municipal Ground, Polomolok, South Cotabato, 9504 was made more significant through the presence of distinguished guests. We extend our profound gratitude to our Keynote Speaker, 1LT HENRY E ELIPE PAF, Operation Officer, 7th ARCEN, Mr. Dexter D. EspaΓ±ola, RCrim GSA NSTP Coordinator; and Efren A. Gales, RCrim, Assistant NSTP Coordinator, Who delivered the Opening Remarks

The program commenced with a solemn invocation delivered by TSg Ipafrudito Pimentel PAF (Ret), followed by the presentation of graduates from the Advance and Basic ROTC classes by TSg Archie O Escartin PAF. The event was also graced by the presence of other military personnel, further highlighting the importance of the occasion.

On March 23, 2026, the cadets and cadettes of 736th DMST GSA ROTC participated in the Knighting, Sword Dabbing, Candle Lighting, and Donning of Ranks Ceremony held at RKB Intimate Event Center, Prk. Tinio Uno, Brgy. Poblacion, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The ceremony was conducted to formally recognize the promotion and advancement of cadets, instill a deeper sense of honor and responsibility, and reaffirm their commitment to leadership, discipline, and service to the nation. It also symbolized their transition to higher roles within the corps, preparing them for greater duties and expectations as future leaders.

During the event, 18 cadets were promoted to Cadet Lieutenant Colonels (C/LTC), while 10 advanced to Cadet Captains (C/CPT). Each newly conferred rank represented not merely an achievement, but a solemn charge a call to further growth, dedicated service, and principled leadership guided by integrity.

The activity was graced by 2LT Joseph Ryan P Mayor PAF, Tactical Officer of 736th DMST GSA Inc.-affiliated, as the Keynote Speaker. The Welcome Remarks were delivered by Mr. Edlene A. Daquiado, MBM, LPT, Vice President of Student and academic affairs Also in attendance were Mr. Dexter D. EspaΓ±ola, GSA NSTP Coordinator, Department Head of Criminology Mr. Ronald D. Orbase, RCrim, MMPA, and Mr. Efren A. Gales, RCrim. The proceedings commenced with the honorable presentation of the Advance ROTC Officers by TSg Archie O Escartin PAF.

On March 13, 2026, the 736th DMST GSA ROTC successfully conducted its 7th Training Week Live Familiarization Firing Activity at ARESCOM, Buayan, General Santos City.

During the activity, cadets were introduced to the fundamentals of live firing, including proper firearm handling, sight alignment, trigger control, and safe ex*****on of firing drills. The training emphasized discipline, precision, and situational awareness, ensuring that cadets develop confidence and mastery in marksmanship under controlled and supervised conditions.

For safety purposes, strict protocols were observed throughout the activity. Cadets received step-by-step instruction prior to firing, and all exercises were conducted under the supervision of TSg Archie O Escartin PAF, NCOIC of the 736th DMST GSA ROTC, with guidance from MSg Jose Rannie N Manggas PAF, and other military personnel, ROTC Officers, and NSTP Coordinator Dexter D. EspaΓ±ola, RCrim.

The exercise allowed cadets to refine their skills, reinforce discipline, and practice the precision required for operational readiness, upholding the high standards of the 736th DMST GSA ROTC.

On March 6, 2026, the 736th DMST GSA ROTC successfully conducted its 6th Training Week for the 2nd Semester at General Santos Academy, Inc., Polomolok, South Cotabato.

During the training, the cadets and cadettes attended a lecture on Marksmanship, where they were introduced to the basic principles of target shooting, proper firearm safety, sight alignment, sight picture, and trigger control. This was followed by a demonstration and practical ex*****on of the Basic Marksmanship Positions, including the standing, kneeling, and prone positions, allowing the cadets to understand the correct body posture, stability, and discipline required in marksmanship training.

For safety and training purposes, the rifles used during the lecture and demonstration were airsoft rifles only, serving as training aids to help the cadets better understand the proper handling and positioning of a rifle during marksmanship instruction.

The activity was supervised by NSTP Coordinator Sir Dexter D EspaΓ±ola, RCrim, MTI TSg Archie O Escartin PAF, and A2C Klienth Jude M Abila PAF, together with the guidance and support of our dedicated VRI, TSg Ipafrudito Pimentel PAF (Ret.), in coordination with the 7th Air Reserve Center. Also present was the Corps Commander of the GSA ROTC Unit, C/Col Rolando S. Ariaza III, 1CL, along with the ROTC Officers who continuously lead and support the cadets throughout the training.
