The Capiz State University – Pontevedra Campus community proudly congratulates the Office of Student Affairs and Services, headed by Dr. Aleta Rose A. Onglatco, for being set to receive recognition for Excellence in Student Affairs and Services at the 5th CHED Regional Quality Awards of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VI.

This recognition highlights the campus’ commitment to providing quality student services and promoting the holistic development of learners. The award will be given on May 21 at the Cultural Center of West Visayas State University as part of CHED’s 32nd Anniversary and 6th Higher Education Day celebration.

The campus actively participates in the Pre-FY 2027 Budget Hearing, bringing together university officials and administrators in aligning plans, priorities, and resources toward quality education, research, extension, and efficient public service. Present during the activity are Dr. Efren L. Linan, University President; Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar, VP for Research Development and Extension; Dr. Analie G. Campos, VP for Academic Affairs; Atty. Toche Vic B. Doce, OIC VP for Administration and Finance; Ms. Maribel B. Tuante, OIC CAO for Finance; Mr. Mark Glenn F. Villamor, Planning Officer IV; Dr. Cherry Anne M. Deang, SAO for Budget; Ms. Ma. Rhenee Ann G. Peniano, Procurement Officer; and Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaruel, Director for Quality Assurance. Also present is Dr. Honey Lee E. Casa, Campus Administrator of Capiz State University – Pontevedra Campus, together with the deans of the different colleges and heads of offices of the campus. Through this initiative, Capiz State University continues to uphold transparency, accountability, and sustainable development in advancing its mission and vision for academic excellence and responsive governance.

𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗨 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝟯 𝗟𝗘𝗣𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀

Capiz State University – Pontevedra Campus once again proved its excellence in teacher education after producing three topnotchers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

Leading the achievers is Lovelin D. Devera, who ranked Top 5 in the Elementary Level with a 93.80% rating. Joining the roster of outstanding passers are Keneth B. Rone, who secured Top 7 in the Secondary Level with a 93.80% rating and Mauren D. Tumanday, who placed Top 8 in the Elementary Level with a 93.20% rating.

The remarkable achievement of the three topnotchers reflects the university’s commitment to academic excellence and quality teacher education.

Congratulations to our CAPSU Pontevedra topnotchers for bringing pride and honor to the university and the Province of Capiz!
