May 20, 2026 — A Milestone Moment: MCA Celebrates Its Very First Commencement Exercises!

The ceremony followed the Thanksgiving Mass and was attended by members of the President’s Council, the families of the Pioneer Batch, and visitors from Camosun College.

Mr. John Kevin M. Meran served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

This school year, MCA was blessed with 22 Pioneer Students, among whom were 3 Kindergarten completers and 1 Grade School graduate.

Jan Erhyn P. Cantor of Grade 7 delivered a message on behalf of the Pioneer Batch. In her speech, she reflected on the journey and experiences they shared throughout the school year.

Dr. Maria Regina Lucia M. Lizares also delivered a message to the batch. She spoke about the meaning of being a “pioneer” and recognized not only the students, but also the teachers and families, as pioneers in building the MCA community. She encouraged everyone to continue helping in “growing the tribe.”

This milestone marks the beautiful beginning of immense growth and limitless possibilities for the MCA community. With a strong foundation now laid by its pioneer batch, the future shines bright as the school continues to expand its horizons.

May 20, 2026 - Miriam College Alviera (MCA) held its Thanksgiving Mass for School Year 2025–2026 in gratitude for the many blessings God has bestowed upon the school community, including the gift of its employees, students, and resources.

The Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Eduardo T. De Leon, Parish Priest of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish. In his homily, Among Ed (“Among” meaning Father in Kapampangan) emphasized the importance of happiness and Veritas, the motto of Miriam College. He shared that true happiness is rooted in truth.

Before the Mass, representatives of the Pioneer Students offered symbolic gifts before the statue of Our Lady of Maryknoll. These offerings represented their hard work, gratitude, and aspirations as the pioneer students of MCA.

The celebration was attended by school employees, members of the President’s Council, students together with their families, and visitors from Camosun College.

LOOK | The Maryknoll College Class of 1974 formally turned over its donation for the MCA Meditation Garden during a gathering held on May 9, 2026, at the Miriam College Alviera (MCA) campus.

Representing the class were Ms. Menchu Genato and Ambassador Millie Thomeczek, who joined the Miriam College community in supporting the development of the meditation garden near the Chapel — a space envisioned for reflection, prayer, and quiet contemplation.

The event also became an opportunity for the alumnae to visit and appreciate the MCA campus. Members of the class shared how proud they were of the beautiful, modern, and forward-thinking campus, describing the occasion as both meaningful and memorable.

The donation reflects the continuing generosity and enduring connection of the Maryknoll College Class of 1974 to the Miriam College community and its mission of holistic formation.

ANNOUNCEMENT | In accordance with Republic Act No. 8815, approved on August 21, 2000, and as an amendment to RA 7552, May 7 of every year is declared a special non-working holiday in the Province of Pampanga and Angeles City. Known as “Jose Abad Santos Day”, this holiday honors the life and legacy of former Chief Justice Jose Abad Santos, who was executed on this date in 1942.

In line with this, MC Alviera will observe no work and no classes for all levels on May 7, 2026, in celebration of Jose Abad Santos Day.
