Dumalo at nakiisa rin si Palawan 1st District Representative Rosalie A. Salvame sa isinagawang Joint Commencement Exercises ng Palawan State University (PSU) Oriental Cluster para sa mga nagtapos mula sa mga kampus ng Roxas, San Vicente, Dumaran, at Araceli. Ang makabuluhang seremonya ay ginanap sa Municipal Dome, People’s Park, Roxas, Palawan nitong Hunyo 18, 2026. Kasama ni Cong. Salvame sa okasyon si Tingog Party-list Representative Jude Acidre na nagsilbing Guest Speaker, gayundin si Roxas Mayor Pedy Sabando at mga kinatawan ng Palawan State University.

Sa harap ng mga nagsipagtapos, kanilang mga pamilya, at mga panauhin, naging makabuluhan ang pagdiriwang bilang pagkilala sa pagsisikap at tagumpay ng mga mag-aaral na matagumpay na nakapagtapos ng kanilang kurso. Ipinakita rin ng okasyon ang kahalagahan ng edukasyon bilang susi sa paghubog ng mas maliwanag na kinabukasan para sa mga kabataan at sa buong lalawigan ng Palawan.

Sa kanyang pakikiisa, ipinahayag ni Cong. Salvame ang kanyang pagbati at suporta sa mga bagong graduates, na hinihikayat ang mga ito na gamitin ang kanilang natamong kaalaman at kasanayan upang maging produktibong mamamayan at katuwang sa pagpapaunlad ng kanilang mga komunidad.

Naging matagumpay ang seremonya sa pagbibigay-pugay sa panibagong yugto ng buhay ng mga nagtapos, na ngayon ay handa nang harapin ang mas malalaking hamon at oportunidad sa kanilang napiling landas.

𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡 | Personal na dumalo si Hon. Mayor Pedy B. Sabando sa Joint Commencement Exercises 2026 ng Palawan State University – Oriental Cluster na ginanap sa Roxas Municipal Dome bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng tagumpay ng mga nagsipagtapos mula sa Roxas, Araceli, Dumaran, at San Vicente Campuses.

Naging guest speaker sa nasabing seremonya si Hon. Congressman Jude Acidre, dumalo din si Palawan 1st District Congreswoman Hon. Rosalie “Mommy Rose” Salvame, at ang mga miyembro ng PSU Board of Regents na sina Hon. Myrna Q. Mallari, Chairperson ng CHED at Chair-Designate ng PSU Board of Regents; Hon. Marissa S. Pontillas, Officer-in-Charge ng Office of the University President at Vice-Chair ng Board of Regents; Chairperson ng House Committee on Higher and Technical Education; Hon. Agustin C. Mendoza ng DEPDev-MIMAROPA; Hon. Bernardo N. Sepeda ng DOST-MIMAROPA; Hon. Glenn D. Vallejo, Alumni Regent; Hon. Janet B. Oab, Faculty Regent; Hon. Maria Chona J. Lacao-Sibal at Hon. Marvi Rebueno-Trudeau, mga kinatawan ng pribadong sektor; at Hon. Jay Cze S. Dador, Student Regent.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binati at pinuri ni Mayor Pedy ang mga bagong graduates sa kanilang sipag, tiyaga, at determinasyon upang makamit ang kanilang mga pangarap. Nagpahayag din siya ng taos-pusong pasasalamat sa mga magulang na nagsakripisyo at walang sawang sumuporta sa pag-aaral ng kanilang mga anak, gayundin sa mga g**o at kawani ng unibersidad na naging katuwang sa paghubog ng kaalaman at kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral.

Binigyang-diin ng alkalde ang kahalagahan ng edukasyon bilang susi sa pag-unlad ng bawat mamamayan at ng buong komunidad. Bilang patunay ng patuloy na suporta ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Roxas sa sektor ng edukasyon, inihayag niya ang pagtaas ng taunang school aid para sa Palawan State University mula ₱2 milyon tungo sa ₱4 milyon upang higit pang makatulong sa mga programa at pangangailangan ng mga estudyante.

Patuloy ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng Roxas sa pagtataguyod ng mga programang nagbibigay ng mas maraming oportunidad sa kabataan, sapagkat naniniwala itong ang edukasyon ang pundasyon ng isang maunlad, matatag, at progresibong kinabukasan.

Every diploma represents more than academic achievement. It reflects years of perseverance, sacrifice, determination, and the unwavering support of families, teachers, and communities who believed in these graduates every step of the way.
