The PHISMETS Council, along with the CMT Suborgs (Project HEALS, Project HOPE, Parfocal Playhouse, and SOLSS), is meeting for a two-day leadership training program that includes presentations, workshops, and teamwork exercises to enhance collaboration and prepare the next wave of leaders.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 2026.

National Sun Yat-sen University welcomes thirteen (13) students from Trinity University of Asia - College of Medical Technology headed by the Academic Head Mr. Nathaniel Veron M. Casamina, RMT, MSMT, and Ms. Micaela A. Valencia RMT, MSMT.

Senior Vice President and Dean of the College of Medicine Prof. Bor-Ching Sheu together with the Chair of Institute of Biomedical Science, Institute of Medical Science and Technology, Institute of Biopharmaceutical Science and Institute of Precision Medicine introduced the students in their respective research laboratory aiming for deeper understanding and research development of biomedical science through stimulation of interest in the field of biology in correlation to Medical Laboratory Science.

The program has been conducted from July 02,2026 - July 11, 2026.

🎉 歡迎菲律賓三一大學（Trinity University of Asia）蒞臨國立中山大學生物醫學研究所參訪！

本所很高興接待菲律賓三一大學（Trinity University of Asia）參訪團，由 Academic Head Nathaniel Veron M. Casamina 與 Professor Micaela A. Valencia 帶領 13 位學生蒞臨交流。

鄭光宏所長代表本所歡迎參訪團的到訪，並介紹本所的教學特色、研究領域及研究環境，希望透過此次參訪，讓來訪師生深入了解生物醫學科學的發展與研究成果，激發對生醫領域的興趣，也期待未來有更多優秀學生加入國立中山大學生物醫學研究所，持續投入生物醫學研究。

隨後，由楊仁豪助理教授及其實驗室學生介紹實驗室研究主題與特色，並帶領參訪團進行實驗室參訪及實際實驗操作體驗，讓來訪師生透過親身參與，近距離了解生物醫學研究流程與實驗技術，進一步感受本所優良的研究環境與學術氛圍。

此次交流不僅增進雙方對生物醫學教育與研究的認識，也為未來國際學術合作與人才交流奠定良好基礎，期待持續深化雙方交流，共同培育具國際視野的生物醫學人才。🌏🧬

All three of these are what it takes to achieve comprehensibility of clinical diagnosis, and are being taught to the students of Trinity University of Asia - College of Medical Technology, Histology section.

The smallest structure of the human body holds the biggest possible answers, as Histology empowers students to explore the significant world and structure beyond what an ordinary eye can see. With thorough study of cells, tissues, and organs, microscopic structures are revealed towards the foundation of human health and diseases.

As cells develop to be an organism, students enrolled at TUA - College of Medical Technology are nurtured and monitored to ensure proficiency in every step and procedure done in the science of Medical Laboratory. Further, Histology at TUA-CMT is more than just examining slides under a microscope. It is about cultivating curiosity, critical thinking, and attention to detail within a community that values both academic excellence and personal growth. Guided by dedicated faculty and surrounded by supportive peers, you'll be challenged to look deeper, think sharper, and discover how every specimen tells a story waiting to be understood.

𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 - 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, in partnership with 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐘𝐚𝐭-𝐒𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐍𝐒𝐘𝐒𝐔), officially commences the 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Program in 𝗞𝗮𝗼𝗵𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗻𝗴, 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻. The program marks another milestone as the top-performing second-year students from Batch Aurelia embark on an exciting academic journey to deepen their knowledge of biomedical engineering and expand their perspectives as future medical technology professionals.

Kiara Anjali Ballesteros, Janelle Esteban, Henry Ileto, Elijah Shayne Nitura, Elisha Faye Nitura, Irene Nava, Althea Janelle Pulmano, Hannah Elisha Sampiano, Aira Seño, Taslimah Sultan, and Niña Angela Vistal are set to depart for Kaohsiung, Taiwan, from 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 2-11, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. They will be accompanied by the Academic Head 𝗠𝗿. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗠. 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮 and TUA-CMT faculty member 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗔. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 who will serve as faculty representatives throughout the duration of the program.

The selected second-year students will take part in a specialized academic program at NSYSU’s Institute of Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Biomedical Science, and the Institute of Medical Science and Technology. Through this international academic experience, TUA-CMT provides students with a unique opportunity to broaden their knowledge of medical technology while strengthening their academic and professional competencies.

The program offers students the opportunity to gain not only local expertise but also valuable international exposure to emerging developments in science and healthcare. As they gain new and profound knowledge, they will also be trained to apply and perform procedures that will enhance their skills.

June 11, 2026 – Mr. Mark Justine D. Bansil, a faculty member of the College of Medical Technology, has successfully published his academic research entitled, “Reassessing the Gold Standard: The Role of AI-Powered Urinalysis in Diagnosing Urinary Tract Infections” in the Philippine Journal of Pathology. The article highlights the increasing potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to complement the existing standard in diagnosing urinary tract infections (UTI) as well as provide more rapid, efficient, and personalized approaches to UTI management.

This milestone is a testament to the university’s goal to advance human health and quality of life through the generation and dissemination of new knowledge in pursuit of improving public health.
