The Department of Winds and Percussion presents a flute masterclass with Mark Kenedy Rocas.

Mark Kenedy Rocas is a flutist from General Trias, Cavite. He studied at the Philippine High School for the Arts and earned his Bachelor of Music from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

He completed his Master of Music in Flute Performance at the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Arts degree at the University of Northern Colorado.

Rocas has performed with several orchestras and ensembles, including the UP Symphony Orchestra, Metro Manila Concert Orchestra, UP Symphonic Band, and the Philippine Youth Symphonic Band. He has also performed as a soloist with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition to orchestral work, he actively presents solo concerts and conducts workshops and masterclasses around the Philippines. His work reflects his advocacy to contribute to the country and help uplift music and the arts.

He is a Cultural Center of the Philippines scholar and a First Prize winner of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA).

This event is open to the general public for observation only.

Isang salita na tila marami ang kahulugan. Maaaring tumukoy sa paroroonan ng isang kaluluwang nalilito na tila naghahanap ng kasagutan mula sa malayo. O hindi kaya ay paghahanap ng isang kaluluwa para sa kaniyang kapahingahan.

Ngunit, sa harap ng maraming kalituhan at kahirapan, paano nga pa natin matatagpuan ang inaasam na kapayapaan?

Halina at tuklasin ang misteryong ito, at panoorin ang Recital I - "Hantungan", tampok ang mga likha ni Cristofer Catapang.
