MYTH or FACT? 🤔

At oo, alam ko na ang reaction:
“₱25,000.00?! 😳”
Fair.
Pero bago tayo mag-keyboard warrior mode, mag Myth vs Fact muna tayo. 😂
💰MYTH #1:
“May ₱25,000.00 ka? Automatic LIU Fellow ka na!”
❌ FACT:
Hindi.
Hindi ito “Pay ₱25K, Get Fellow.” 😂
May qualifications.
Ang applicant na Kapatid ay kailangang:
💎 At least 25 CONTINUOUS YEARS nang miyembro ng APO;
💎 Holder ng APO Philippines National ID Number;
💎 Currently active member in good standing sa required period;
💎 Walang formal pending administrative case sa APO Philippines; at
💎 Hindi convicted by final judgment of a criminal offense involving moral turpitude.
So kung ₱25K lang ang requirement…
Marami na sanang Fellow. 😊😇
💰MYTH #2:
“₱25,000.00 lang ang babayaran.”
❌ FACT:
Not necessarily.
Ang current LIU Fellow Life Membership Application Fee ay ₱25,000.00.
Pero bukod dito, maaaring kailangan ding bayaran ang unpaid biennial membership assessment, kung mayroon, para sa applicable period, pati succeeding biennial assessments na kini-compute mula sa current age ng applicant hanggang age 75, alinsunod sa applicable rules.
At malinaw dapat:
👉 Ang membership assessment ay OVER AND ABOVE sa ₱25,000.00 LIU Fellow fee.
At ang P25,000.00 current fee ay maari ring ma-adjust sa hinaharap, kung itatakda ng Board of Trustees.
Kaya….
Hindi ito “P25K all-in-promo package.” 😊
🏅 MYTH #3:
“Mas mataas ang LIU Fellow kaysa Frank Reed Horton (FRH) Advocate.”
❌ FACT:
Magkaiba ang purpose.
Ang Frank Reed Horton ay mas nakatuon sa:

🛠️ Service
🏆 Performance, accomplishments, at contribution
Samantala, ang LIU Fellow ay may mas malinaw na financial support/fundraising orientation.
Hindi ito tungkol sa:
“Sino ang Magaling?”
Mas tungkol ito sa:
“Ano ang purpose ng bawat life membership?”
Different purpose.
Different basis.
Different kind of commitment.
💸 MYTH #5:
“LIU Fellow - BINILI ANG HONOR.”
❌ FACT:
Hindi ganoon kasimple.
Oo.
May pera.
♦️Hindi natin kailangang magkunwari na wala. 😂
♦️Pero may qualifications din.
♦️May 25-year continuous membership requirement.
♦️May active and good standing requirement.
♦️May institutional and disciplinary requirement.
♦️At may financial requirement.
Kaya hindi tama na i-reduce ang Buong concept sa: 🔻
“Mayaman kasi.” 💵
At hindi rin tama na sabihing: 🙊
“Pera lng yan.” 🧧
Because the more accurate statement is:
“MAY FINANCIAL COMPONENT ITO, AT IYON MISMO ANG BAHAGI NG PURPOSE NG MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY.”

“Saan naman nanggaling ang idea na ‘yan?”
💡FACT:
Ang LIU Fellow concept ay patterned sa similar life membership approach in APO USA, particularly in its financial support/fundraising dimension.

⛔️ hindi ah. kung wala sila, wala din tayo.
🦉 ISANG HULING MENSAHE NA LANG MGA KAPOTID
Sa huli, sana hindi matapos ang usapang ito sa “₱25,000.00.”
Sana ang mas mahalagang maiwan sa atin at ang tanong na:
“Ano ang kaya kong ibigay para sa APO - at bakit ko ito gustong gawin?”
Ang pagiging LIU Fellow ay hindi sukatan ng yaman, status o halaga ng isang tao sa fraternity.
Ito ay isang CHOICE. ✅
Isang choice na gawin ang isang financial commitment bilang bahagi ng patuloy na suporta sa organization.
At para sa mga Kapatid na qualified at piniling tahakin ang landas na ito, BE PROUD.
Be proud - not because you paid ₱25K.
BE PROUD BECAUSE YOU CHOSE TO GIVE.
Be proud because after decades of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, you are still finding another way to contribute.
Be proud because your financial support can help sustain the operations, programs, activities, and institutional needs of the organization.
At higit sa lahat, be proud because you are saying:
“HINDI PA TAPOS ANG COMMITMENT KO SA APO.”
Maybe our journey in APO changes through the years.
Noong bata pa tayo, panahon ang puhunan.
Then came leadership.
Then service.
Then mentorship.
And eventually, for some of us, financial support becomes another way of giving back.
Iyan ang LIU Fellow.
Hindi ito para sa lahat.
Hindi ito dapat ipilit sa kahit sino.
Hindi rin ito dapat gawing dahilan para ikumpara ang isang Kapatid sa isa pa.
It is simply another venue to serve and support the organization we chose to call our Fraternity.
Kaya sa mga nagbabalak:
Understand it. Ask questions. Know this commitment. Then decide.
