Introducing our refined Art Education Area logo:

The logo of the UP College of Education’s Art Education Area brings together four key symbols that reflect the program’s mission and identity: the orange palette and flame, representing our roots in the visual arts and the passion and creativity that fuel the art teacher; the red torch at the center, embodying leadership, courage, and the commitment to excellence in both artistic and academic practice; the blue open book, symbolizing the wisdom and scholarly rigor that ground the discipline; and the green and yellow hands, illustrating the nurturing, empowering relationship between teacher and learner. Rising from a foundation of care and scholarly advocacy, the design captures how the Art Education Area honors its beginnings, rooted in visual arts instruction in basic education, while embracing an interdisciplinary, transformative future, reflecting our dedication to shaping educators who are compassionate mentors, committed to unlocking every learner’s creative potential and uplifting the broader education community.
