The Ateneo Debate Society is proud to announce the results of its contingent to Manila City Debate Open 2026, hosted last March 14-15 by the La Salle Debate Society! 🏆

🌟 Chelsea Fernandez and Cara Reyes broke 3rd, and eventually hailed as Open Grand Champions of the competition! Chelsea was named 5th Best Open Speaker, while Cara was recognized as both the 6th Best Open Speaker and Finals Best Speaker.

🌟 Wilben Ong, Kristen Reyes, and Jacob Ty broke 2nd in the tournament and went on to the Open Semifinals. Wilben was awarded 4th Best Open Speaker, and Jacob was named 2nd Best Open Speaker!

🌟 Aidin Alamia and Aki Peyra broke as judges. Both formed the panel of the Open Semifinals, with Aidin acting as chair. Aidin was awarded 4th Best Judge and Aki, invited adjudicator, was named 2nd Best Judge!

🌟 Zen Tiangco served on the tournament’s Adjudication Core, where he played a role in crafting motions and shaping the adjudication throughout the competition!

The Ateneo Debate Society is proud to announce the results of its contingent to Hiraya Debate Cup 2026, hosted last February 28 - March 1 by the Parthenon Debate Society! 🏆

🌟 Wilben Ong and Jacob Ty dominated the preliminary rounds, breaking 1st with no points dropped! They eventually hailed as Open Grand Champions, with Wilben being awarded 4th Best Open Speaker, and Jacob named 2nd Best Open Speaker.

The Ateneo Debate Society is proud to announce the results of its representatives to Marmalade Schools British Parliamentary 2026 hosted last February 28 - March 1 and held onsite at MGC New Life Christian Academy! 🏅

🌟 Invited adjudicators Cedric Recongco and Leah Joy Rivera topped the judge rankings, being named Overall Best Judge and 2nd Best Judge respectively! Cedric served as the chair of the Open Semifinals, while Leah was the chair of the Novice Finals.

🌟 Aidin Alamia and DJ Salud both served on the panel of the Novice Finals. Aidin was also recognized as 9th Best Judge!
