Let’s hear about her travels from Jescii Villaruz 🐝
If you want to know what a true debate powerhouse looks like, let me tell you about Zhea.
She is my OG and endgame partner in college debating that people should be jealous for not
having.
Look at her track record: she broke a six-year institutional drought to win the very first
Mindanao Championship for MIDV, followed it up with two National open outround
finishes, capping off college debating with a VisMin Championship, a Mindanao CAP-elect,
and now serving as part of the CAP for the High School Nationals—all in the exact same
year.
As a partner, she is simply the most effortless person to work with. Debating with her does
not feel like an obligation or a strict strategic partnership; being partnered with her means
being in it for the pure, unadulterated fun. She’s seriously the most unserious partner right
after delivering the speech of a lifetime, and she just has fun winning.
People might look at her and think she just has it easy because she's naturally great at
everything. I mean, come on, she’s the GOAT! But people should know that if the devil
works hard, Zhea works the hardest. She makes greatness look effortless, but she worked
relentlessly for every single thing she is known for today.
Outside of debate, she is quite literally the most hardworking person you will ever meet. She
juggles everything thrown her way and somehow excels at all of it without breaking a sweat.
As a friend and senior in the community, she is a legend. She might be the strictest "Minister
of Training" you'll ever encounter, but I will say this here— while most strict people are just
a total terror, Zhea is a DIVA!!
So if you want an experience unlike any other, you need to join this year's PSDC—because
you'll be graced by an icon, the GOAT, and the legend herself.
