✨ LOOK: members participated in the 18th International Symposium on Advanced Plasma Science and its Applications for Nitrides and Nanomaterials and the 19th International Conference on Plasma-Nano Technology & Science (ISPlasma2026/IC-PLANTS2026) by presenting their latest research. The event was held at Meijo University in Nagoya, Japan 🇯🇵.

🌟The PMILy proudly delivered two oral presentations and seven poster presentations. One poster was recognized with the Best Poster Presentation Award 🏆, authored by John Michael Bartolome, Bryndel Alcantara, Aldrin Tan, and Dr. Magdaleno Vasquez Jr.

This international engagement provided meaningful opportunities to learn from experts, share our findings, and explore new directions in science⚡️

UPD College of Engineering Congratulates Newly Conferred UP Scientists

On behalf of the UP Diliman College of Engineering community, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the following faculty members who have been conferred the UP Scientist rank under the Scientific Productivity System (SPS) of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA). This well-deserved recognition reflects their outstanding scholarly contributions and commitment to advancing research in their respective fields.

The UP Scientific Productivity System was established to encourage and reward scientific productivity among faculty members. Deserving scientists are granted the title UP Scientist (Levels I, II, and III) for a three-year period, with a corresponding monetary award, the UP Scientific Productivity Award. The title is conferred on faculty members for exceptional scientific productivity and international recognition demonstrated through publications in prestigious journals, technological outputs such as patents, international scientific awards, and service on international editorial boards.
