"In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 134, issued by the Office of the President and posted on the Presidential Communications Office page, the UP Diliman (UPD) Office of the Chancellor announced that face-to-face classes at UPD today, 4 September 2026, are suspended due to inclement weather and poor air quality in the National Capital Region caused by haze from wildfires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

The members of the faculty are enjoined to conduct alternative modes of learning (synchronous/asynchronous).

Work operations in all UPD units shall remain onsite.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

The measure is in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

Maligayang idinaos ang CSSP NSTP Graduation na may temang "Education in Action: Addressing Social Vulnerabilities Through Grounded Service" noong Mayo 18, 2026 sa Bulwagang Palma.

Sa pagtitipong ito, sama-samang nanumpa ang mga nagsipagtapos bilang mga bagong miyembro ng National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC). Isang mahalagang hakbang tungo sa patuloy na paglilingkod sa bayan at komunidad.

Naging bahagi ng programa sina Kat. Prop. Olivia Alma G. Sicam, Direktor ng NSTP Diliman, na nagbigay ng pambungad na pananalita; Kat. Prop. Joan Hope Elgincolin, na nagpakilala sa NSRC sa pamamagitan ng isang video presentation; at Prop. Mary Ann G. Bacolod, Kawaksing Dekano para sa Usaping Pang-Akademiko, na naghatid ng mensahe para sa mga gradweyt. Nagbigay rin ng inspirasyonal na mensahe si Bb. Ginny Villa-Real, Program and Training Director ng Teach for the Philippines.

Pinangunahan naman ni Kat. Prop. Vincent Christopher A. Santiago ang mga kaganapan, habang naghandog ng pangwakas na pananalita ang Tagapag-ugnay ng NSTP na si Kat. Prop. Micah Jeiel Perez. Naging bahagi rin ng selebrasyon ang mga instruktor ng NSTP at ang pagharana para sa magsisipagtapos mula sa grupong Padayon Rondalla.

Muli, taos-pusong pagbati sa mga bagong bayani ng Kolehiyo ng Agham Panlipunan at Pilosopiya o KAPP-NSTP! Nawa’y magsilbi kayong inspirasyon sa patuloy na pagsusulong ng makabuluhan at makataong paglilingkod.
