THANK YOU, AIT FOR PUSHING THE LIMIT!
(START-KAISA)
Thank You for Pushing the Limit!
Iskolar ng Bayan, the 100th University Student Council belongs to you!
On February 28, 2013, you pushed against the politics of negativity and pushed for the politics of principles. With a very decisive vote, you pushed the limit!
ALEX Castro is our next USC Chairperson, having won 4,944 votes – the highest ever attained for the office and surpassing the previous record set by KAISA’s Titus Tan in 2009.
JULES Guiang is our next USC Vice-Chairperson, having earned 3,385 votes based on a strong record and clear vision of leadership.
CARLA Gonzalez, DAN Guzman, RAFA Fernando, and ERICA Lau are our next USC councilors. Carla is our No. 1 USC Councilor, having garnered the most number of votes in a field of more than 30 accomplished leaders. Dan set a record as the first USC councilor in recent history from the College of Human Kinetics.
KAISA will represent eight colleges in the next USC: MYCA Bonoan for the Asian Institute of Tourism; FAB Fabia for the College of Architecture; DAN Nieva for the College of Engineering; CARLO De Laza for the College Fine Arts; ALEXA Nacional for the College of Home Economics; ISAY Aurellado for the College of Human Kinetics; RAM Tomaneng for the College of Science; and LUI Angeles for the National College of Public Administration and Governance.
In all, you entrusted KAISA with 14 out of 34 seats in the 100th USC, a solid mandate to deliver on our pledge to push for One Strong USC. Maraming salamant, Iskolar ng Bayan!
Pushing the limit does not end with the elections. We face far more crucial challenges ahead in our quest to build One Strong UP. Let’s use this victory to rise above our differences and unite in meaningful service to the students and the people.
Since our founding in 2005, we have always been grateful to you, the Iskolar ng Bayan, for keeping faith in KAISA. Now, as we look to the future, we dedicate the 100th USC to you. Together, we shall never stop pushing the limit!
