OBF UPDATE: The Ateneo Marketing Varsity (AMV) bagged 2nd Runner-Up in the PANAnaw Brand Communications Competition held last November 21 at the Elements at Centris, Quezon City.
The team was led by co-captains Stanley Cenon (4 BS ME) and Agatha Fernandez (4 AB MEC), and was composed of Rapa Bengzon (4 BS ME), Yeshua Celebrado (4 BS CTM), Anton Garcia (3 BS ME), Maxine Gutierrez (3 BS CTM), Zaidamin Haron (4 BS CTM), Josh Huesca (4 BS HS), Therese Lachaona (4 BS CTM), Roma Manaois (3 BS ME), Kirstenn Misa (4 BS MGT), Kyu Quierrez (4 BS CTM), Sam Say (4 BSM AMF), Cody Sespeñe (3 BS MIS), Kairi Ureta (4 BFA ID), and Phoebe Valle (4 BS CTM).
AMV’s campaign, “BARAHA: BAwat aRAw, HAnda ka na,” aimed to empower Filipino daily wage workers by providing them with the necessary tools and support through edutainment, on-ground engagement, and accessible financial solutions.
Notably, AMV was coached by Marketing Faculty Arkel Suaco-Mendoza and Van Valdez. Moreover, Erwin Arroyo (3 BS ME), Love Caranza (3 BS ME), Roldine Ebrada, and Julianna Zapanta (3 BS ME) spearheaded the production of the team’s creative executions.
The PANAnaw Brand Communications Competition is an annual competition organized by the Philippine Association of National Advertisers, and is recognized as the most prestigious intercollegiate brand communications competition since 2004. This year, 25 universities nationwide responded in creating a campaign with the theme "Trapped: Breaking the Debt Cycle Among Filipinos," sponsored by the Bank of the Philippine Islands Foundation.
