In line with this year’s theme, “Forging Solidarity in Diversity,” let’s open the conversation on the barriers that exist, the experiences that shape healthcare access, and what it takes to build spaces where everyone can seek care with dignity, safety, and respect. 🤝❤️‍🩹

This year’s TALAB 2026 event brings together Pete Tan of Love Yourself Caravan and Ging Cristobal of the Gender and Development Council of Quezon City to shed light on the realities of healthcare accessibility for the LGBTQ+ community in the Philippines. 🩺🏳️‍🌈

From the experiences of navigating healthcare spaces to the barriers that can stand between individuals and the care they need, our speakers will share their perspectives on where we are, what gaps remain, and what a more inclusive healthcare system can look like. 💬

In line with TALAB 2026: “Forging Solidarity in Diversity,” join us as we listen, learn, and open up a conversation on the work that remains — and the possibilities that lie ahead. 🤝

For many members of the LGBTQ+ community in the Philippines, navigating healthcare can involve barriers ranging from stigma and discrimination to limited access to inclusive and affirming services. 🏳️‍🌈🩺

In line with this year’s TALAB 2026: “Forging Solidarity in Diversity,” the Pre-Medical Society of the Ateneo presents “Exploring Healthcare Accessibility for the LGBTQ+ Community in the Philippines.”

Join us as we take a closer look at the realities of LGBTQ+ Filipinos navigating the healthcare system — the barriers they encounter, the gaps that continue to exist, and the efforts toward creating more inclusive healthcare spaces. 🤝

Because accessibility is not simply about whether healthcare is available. It is also about whether people can access it without having to compromise their dignity, identity, or sense of safety.

Let’s talk about what inclusive healthcare looks like, who gets access to it, and what still needs to change. 💬

Human blood cannot be produced inside a lab. Thus, every bag transfused comes from a “yes”. A “yes” that flows from the donor's veins to the patient’s hearts, extending lives and infusing hope. 🩸

From August 24-28, during COA-M RecWeek 2026: Crossroads, we had the opportunity to meet dozens of wonderful people, who we wish to join our ever-growing PMSA family! 🏡
