🏆 NINE QUILLS FOR CIIT.

What started with five student projects and seven initial recognitions ended with an even bigger night for CIIT at the 12th Philippine Student Quill Awards.

Our students brought home nine recognitions, including six Awards of Excellence, one Award of Merit, one Top Award, and a 2nd Runner-Up finish for School of the Year.

And together, these wins brought CIIT another distinction:

🏫 2nd Runner-Up, School of the Year

Four of the five winning projects came from the Bachelor of Multimedia Arts, while ST: AIN represented BSEMC Game Development, bringing creative practice and technology together on one awards stage.

But perhaps what makes this haul worth celebrating most is what sits behind every Quill: student work.

These are projects researched, developed, designed, revised, defended, questioned, rebuilt, and pushed further by students who believed their ideas could become something worth putting into the world. Guided by their mentors and strengthened by collaboration, those ideas went beyond the classroom and stood alongside some of the best student communication work in the country.

And ST: AIN went one step further.

After earning an Award of Excellence in the newly introduced Breakthroughs and Innovations category, ST: AIN went on to receive the Top Award, a fitting achievement for a student project from a school built around innovation and integrated technology.

DING! was also named a Top Award nominee in the same category, with only two student entries nominated across all submissions.

Meanwhile, KUSYAPI and ST: AIN were both named nominees for the Top Award for Student Quill, further highlighting the strength of CIIT’s student work across the competition.

Five projects.
Nine recognitions.
Two programs.
One incredible night for CIIT.

CIIT students’ creativity and talent took center stage at the 12th Philippine Student Quill Awards!

Held alongside the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards on August 27, 2026, at Solaire Resort, Parañaque, this event is the country’s most prestigious and largest awards program for business communication. It is widely considered the pinnacle prize in the field, drawing a massive volume of well over 800 entries nationwide from major universities.

Even against this massive lineup, and in only our second year joining, our BMMA and Tech students earned an incredible 8 wins out of 12 entries in the Student Category:

Driven by this outstanding student excellence, CIIT was also named 2nd Runner-Up School of the Year for the second year in a row. These awards prove that our students have the talent, drive, and vision to stand out on the biggest stage. To honor our students' hard work, the trophies were received on their behalf by CIIT’s Multimedia Arts Capstone Lead and Program Coordinator, Erica Ngui.

For their capstone project, CIITzens Justine Philip Cristobal, Juan Isaiah Masongsong, Laarni Joy Pronda, and Anne Danielle Rasing created KOMPAS: Guidebook for Independent Living, a five-book resource that helps young people navigate the realities of adulthood, from managing money and finding a safe place to live to commuting, getting IDs, applying for jobs, avoiding scams, and building new skills.

At the heart of KOMPAS is a simple purpose: to give young people practical knowledge they can use when they begin making decisions for themselves.
