In 25 October 1978, a former city council of Makati and proprietor by name of Oscar M. Ibay opened the DATAMEX computer tutorial services. In response to the growing needs of Computer Education, DATAMEX a non-sectarian and stock educational institution was incorporated and registered in 1984 under the trade name of DATAMEX Computer School and was advertently elevated to DATAMEX Computer College in 1993. Having earned recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Technical Education and Skills Development, DATAMEX Institute of Computer Technology offers an undergraduate degree courses in computer science as well as vocational-technical computer courses such as Two Years Associate in Computer Science, Associate in Computer Technology, Two Years Integrated Computer Programming, Two Years Integrated Computer Hardware Servicing and two years integrated Information Management. With an increasing demands for computer literate to fill the needs of technology advancement, DATAMEX further sought an approval of CHED and TESDA to offer additional courses such as Two Years Integrated Hotel and Restaurant Management, Two Years Integrated Health Care Service, Two years integrated Computer Animation, Three Year Ladderized other short courses like Caregiver, Call Center, etc that are expected to gain full recognition. For the past two decades, DATAMEX, a 100% Filipino owned Computer School successful operating in the Philippine takes pride in its relentless effort for academic excellence. With the government's accelerated economic recovery program, the demand for trained and skilled personnel was greater than ever. DATAMEX helps in filling the country need by expanding into 23 branches where in ten of its campuses in currently located in Metro /manila such as in Pasay City of Manila, San Juan , Pasig City, Paranaque City, Caloocan City, Valenzuela City, Las Pinas City, Mandaue City, Cebu City, Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
