From March 2 to 9, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) conducted Start ’Em Young, a gender sensitivity program for UP Diliman freshmen and student athletes, bringing together various university offices including the UP Diliman Gender Office to discuss topics on respect, inclusion, and safe campus spaces.
Held through multiple one day sessions in both online and face to face formats, the program introduced participants to key gender sensitivity concepts and university policies. The UP Diliman Office of Anti Sexual Harassment (OASH) was invited to share about the UP Anti Sexual Harassment Code (ASH Code), highlighting rights, responsibilities, and available support mechanisms within the university.
We appreciate the energy and active participation of our freshmen and student athletes as we continue working together toward a safer and more respectful UP community!
