π The ASEAN-IPR University Tour is coming to Ateneo!
As the Philippines assumes the ASEAN Chairship in 2026, Ateneo de Manila University, through the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG), has the distinct honor of hosting this year's ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (ASEAN-IPR) University Tour. As ASEAN's flagship annual university engagement, this high-level forum brings together distinguished regional leaders, diplomats, scholars, peace practitioners, and students to engage in meaningful dialogue on the most pressing peace and security challenges facing Southeast Asia.

Held in celebration of ASEAN Month and as part of the ASOG@25 Anniversary Celebration, the University Tour reflects our shared commitment to forming ethical, transformative, and globally engaged public leaders. It also resonates with the University Mission Theme for Academic Year 2026β2027, "Cultivating Peace and Building Communion," by fostering dialogue, solidarity, and mutual understanding across nations and communities.
The forum will feature distinguished leaders from across the ASEAN region who will explore today's most pressing issues, including regional peace and security, preventive diplomacy, maritime cooperation, climate security, cybersecurity, and the Philippine experience in peacebuilding. The program will also highlight the vital role of universities in shaping future leaders and strengthening regional understanding.

The ASEAN-IPR University Tour 2026 is organized by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) and the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (ASEAN-IPR) in partnership with the Ateneo School of Government, and co-presented by the Dr. Rosita G. Leong School of Social Sciences, the Ateneo Initiative for Southeast Asian Studies, and the Office of Student Activities of Ateneo de Manila University.
