For the past years, Mu-lat: An Educational Discussion has brought to you discussions on issues that arise during their time.

Last year, patterned with the country's national elections, Mu-lat 2019 was on Surveys, Economic Policies during Elections, Voting Behavior, and the Role of the Youth in the National Elections.

In 2018, Mu-lat's first installment brought talks on Historical Revisionism, Fake News and Misrepresentation of Data as we saw the rise of misinformation as the use of social media and internet progress.

This year, we will bring you insights, discussions, the truth in numbers, given the political climate of our time.

It is back and is still relevant as ever!

Mu-lat: An educational discussion aims to educate the audience about the different issues, policies, and their implications to the various sectors of the society through Statistics and other fields. Mu-lat 2020 intends to foster critical thinking and open-mindedness and move the youth in partaking actions to address the different issues of the country.

Last April 3, 2019, students were able to unveil the truth in numbers in the second installment of Mu-lat: An Educational Discussion, presented to by the UP School of Statistics Student Council and UP Variates.

Considering that the midterm national elections is fast approaching, the topics that were dicussed revolved around looking at the national elections from different statistical perspectives. Specifically, the speakers enlightened the attendees regarding the challenges of conducting election survey polls, an analysis of the economic policies that should be taken into account by those vying for seats in the senate, the voting behavior of Filipinos, and the role of the youth in the elections.

With these, we hope that everyone who attended gathered new insights and information that they can take into consideration before casting their votes on May 13. Mu-lat 2019 encourages fruitful discussion and discourse about the future of our country and its leaders.
