Grip U.P. Sport Climbing Association Based in U.P. Diliman, Grip UP Sport Climbing Association (Grip UP) is the only university-based sport climbing organization in the Philippines.

Grip UP aims to promote thorough understanding and practice of sport climbing and related climbing sports, and their aspects, such as ethics, safety and training, within and outside UP Diliman. In spite of being a young organization, GRIP UP already organized several activities for the further promotion of sport climbing within and outside the university. History:
It was formed in 2002 through the

efforts of U.P. Diliman students who are likewise sport climbing enthusiasts. These students sought the companionship of other U.P. students who shared their interest and, to some, their passion for climbing, which motivated them to form an organization.
