🩺 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐆𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄, 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓

Through 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗨𝗟𝗜, the 𝗨𝗣 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗨𝗣 𝗔𝗕𝗠), one of the 𝗡𝗦𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘀, continued its commitment to bringing accessible healthcare services closer to communities.

Implemented in Barangay Escopa III, Project PANANAULI brought together students, doctors, volunteers, and partner organizations for a community medical mission. More than 100 volunteers worked together to provide free services to beneficiaries, demonstrating how collective action and volunteerism can transform academic knowledge into meaningful community service.

Beyond providing healthcare services, the project also created opportunities for learning and collaboration—from basic clinical triage and suturing training for UP ABM members to the distribution of Women’s Health Kits promoting menstrual hygiene. Through the challenges encountered along the way, Project PANANAULI highlighted the value of adaptability, teamwork, and strong partnerships in responding to community needs.

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐀 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐎𝐅 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐆𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐀 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒

Through 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗦: 𝗦𝗜𝗞𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡 – 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗯 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻, members of UP Association of Civil Engineering Students (UP ACES), one of the NSRC Reservist Grant 2025 grantees, brought fire safety and disaster preparedness education closer to young learners at Toro Hills Elementary School and Tandang Sora Elementary School.

From interactive storytelling and animated explainer videos to experiments, learning materials, and live fire safety demonstrations, Project ALAS showed that preparedness can be taught in ways that are engaging, memorable, and meaningful. The initiative reached around 600 students, equipping them with practical knowledge that they can carry beyond the classroom and into their homes and communities.

The 𝐔𝐏 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 (𝐍𝐒𝐑𝐂) successfully conducted 𝐍𝐒𝐑𝐂 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐘 𝟐: 𝐄𝐋𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐂 (𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 & 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞) on September 14, 2026, at the National Engineering Center, UP Diliman.

The training workshop brought together UP Diliman students and NSRC Reservists for an afternoon of learning and hands-on orientation focused on strengthening their knowledge and preparedness for earthquake- and landslide-related emergencies.

Participants were introduced to key concepts and techniques in search and rescue, hazard awareness, search and locate procedures, common injuries in collapsed structures, and basic first aid—equipping them with practical knowledge that can be valuable when responding to emergencies.

The NSRC Team would like to thank our trainers from the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the UP National Engineering Center, NSRC Reservists, and other participants for making this training possible and meaningful. Your time, participation, and commitment to preparedness contribute to building a more ready, responsive, and resilient UP community.

The NSTP Diliman Office – National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC) invites UP Diliman students, especially NSRC Reservists, to join the 𝐍𝐒𝐑𝐂 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐘 𝟐: 𝐄𝐋𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐂 (𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 & 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞)
