As part of the Graduation Ceremony of Military Science Training 3 โ€“ Class of 2026, a meaningful Pinning Ceremony was conducted to formally recognize the nine (9) Bachelor of Science in Criminology students who successfully completed the MS 3 Training.

Adding significance to this milestone, the Officer-in-Charge of the Criminology Department, Prof. John Ray D. Quizon, MSCJ, RCrim., participated in the ceremonial pinning of the BS Criminology completers.

The pinning ceremony represents more than the placement of an insignia, it symbolizes the discipline, commitment, perseverance, leadership, and readiness to serve that our students have demonstrated throughout their military science training. For our nine completers, this moment marks another important step in their journey toward becoming competent, disciplined, and service-oriented criminology professionals.

On July 24, 2026, the Criminology Interns of Batch MANDALAPI conducted a courtesy visit to one of the prestigious and sought-after law firms in the Philippines, ๐๐€๐‹๐€๐ƒ ๐‹๐€๐”๐‘๐Ž๐ ๐๐€๐‹๐€๐ƒ ๐‹๐€๐– ๐…๐ˆ๐‘๐Œ, where our criminology interns will undergo their 270-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT).

This significant milestone would not have been possible without the active and unwavering support of Atty. Raymund P. Palad. Through his generosity and commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities, our interns will be given the rare privilege of experiencing the professional environment of a law firm, an opportunity not every criminology student is fortunate enough to have.

This OJT is more than just a requirement. It is an opportunity for our interns to learn beyond the classroom, witness the actual practice of law and criminal justice, develop professional competence, and gain valuable insights that will shape them as future criminologists and criminal justice professionals.

The Criminology Department of Dr. Carlos S. Today, she proudly serves as a member of the PNP Headquarters Support Service (HSS), one of the National Administrative Support Units of the Philippine National Police. Last June 19, 2026, the Criminology Department warmly welcomed its new/old students, transferees, and returnees for the Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 through a General Orientation Program facilitated by Prof. John Ray D. Quizon, MSCJ, RCrim.

The orientation served as an avenue to familiarize students with the institution, the department, and the policies that will guide them throughout their academic journey. Participants were introduced to the administrators of Dr. Carlos S. Lanting College (DCLC), the organizational structure of the Criminology Department, and the institution's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Important student policies and regulations were discussed, to promote transparency and continuous improvement, the results of the Customer Satisfaction Survey and the accomplishments of the Criminology Department for Academic Year 2025โ€“2026 were also presented. Students were informed of the department's achievements, programs, activities, and initiatives that contributed to the growth and development of criminology education within the institution.

Finally, students were informed of the important dates and academic activities to remember for the upcoming academic year to ensure their preparedness and active participation in college life.

The Criminology Department remains committed to fostering academic excellence, discipline, integrity, and professionalism among its students as it continues to produce future criminal justice professionals and leaders in public safety and security.

On June 17, 2026, the Fourth-Year Bachelor of Science in Criminology Interns of ๐๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก "๐Œ๐€๐๐ƒ๐€๐‹๐€๐๐ˆ" participated in a General Orientation conducted by the Student Internship Program Office (SIPO), spearheaded by Dr. Eliza T. Satulan, Head of SIPO and Dean of the College of Management.

The orientation aimed to prepare the student interns for their upcoming internship by providing essential information regarding the program's policies, procedures, and expectations. Topics discussed included internship and documentary requirements, application and deployment processes, roles and responsibilities of student interns, workplace ethics and professionalism, the provisions of the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law, as well as other regulatory guidelines, advisories, and institutional policies relevant to the conduct of the internship.

The activity served as an important preparatory step to ensure that all interns are well-informed, responsible, and equipped with the necessary knowledge and values as they transition from the academic environment to real-world professional settings. Through this orientation, the student interns were reminded of the importance of integrity, discipline, accountability, and professionalism in representing both themselves and the institution throughout their internship journey.

Batch MANDALAPI is now one step closer to gaining meaningful field experience and applying classroom knowledge to actual professional practice, embodying the ideals of future criminal justice practitioners.
