The Philippine Social Science Council is proud to announce its very first open-call training on Peer Review in the Social Sciences, with trainers from the Philippine Geographical Society.

Join us on February 16 (Monday), 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, at the PSSCenter for an intensive session on how Filipino social scientists can peer review effectively, improve the review process, standardize the quality of review, handle emerging ethical issues in reviewing publication manuscripts, and engage in practical exercises.

Rates start at PHP5,000, while PSSC members and or groups of 3 get discounted rates of PHP4,500 each.

📣 The deadline of abstract closes today, Monday, 19 May 2025! 📣

In February 2025, we launched a call for abstracts for the International Geographical Union-Commission on the Sustainability of Rural Systems (IGU-CSRS Colloquium). We received quite a nice variety of abstracts since then. They are like tiny provocations that tell miniature stories about their versions of our theme: new ruralities.
