The UP Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts (UP DSCTA) closed our ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฅ๐จ for kids, tweens, and teens last June 11, 2026. Eight sections culminated two weeks of engaged learning with culminating performances, speeches, and debates.
A total of 144 registered participants explored performance and storytelling for kids, basic public speaking for tweens, and advanced public speaking and argumentation for teens. The workshops were facilitated by UP DSCTA faculty members Kate Ashlyn Dayag-Nonay and Marielle Justine Sumilong (๐๐ฉ๐ค๐ง๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ค๐ง๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐๐๐จ), Justine Alcantara and Ma. Theresa De Guzman (๐ฝ๐๐จ๐๐ ๐๐ช๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฃ๐จ), Marc Stanley Mozo, Angel Venniz Gutierrez, Jericho Daniel Igdanes, and Josef Ryan Tosoc (๐ผ๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐๐ช๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ผ๐ง๐๐ช๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐จ).

Speak UP Workshop is a dynamic and interactive program designed by the UP Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts to help kids, tweens, teens, and professionals build confidence and express themselves more effectively.
