At the height of 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘄, 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮, formed the organization we now know as the 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐤𝐢. These students believed in the power that grassroot movements have to uplift the community by addressing the worsening urban housing situation at that time.

𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲.

Since its inception on this day 40 years ago, the UP Task Force Arki has been dedicated to building an environment- that not only brings about positive changes in the physical built world, but also empowers the people themselves. As the world changes and the organization evolves, one thing is sure- TFA will remain rooted in their vision and mission to 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚.

[MICROTECTURE]

💚 Streets as Livable Spaces, Not Just Corridors 🏙

Livable spaces prioritize the physical and social well-being of their users through a human-centered approach. This strategy uses human psychology to integrate aesthetics with functionality and derives design solutions from the local context to better serve existing communities and their environment. Designing such responsive spaces can significantly improve public and economic growth. As the lifelines of such livable cities, streets are integral to community safety, placemaking, and environmental sustainability. Consequently, they are also capable of reducing the risks of natural hazards and promoting a sense of community.
