ICYMI: The Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity and Sorority - Eta Chapter, together with several volunteers, assisted UPCAT test takers and their companions in reaching their respective testing centers during the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT 2025) last August 10-11, 2024, during the UPCAT Assistance Program 2024. 🌻
As one of our annual service projects, in direct cooperation with the UP Office of Admissions, members of the fraternity and sorority and their volunteers were scattered in strategic locations around the campus to provide assistance to the test takers so they may arrive at their destination faster and more conveniently. But, our service did not end there. There were moments when the volunteers had to accompany the test takers to their testing centers especially during the heavy downpour of the rain as some of them had no umbrellas and had their permits drenched in water.
And, more than just being of service, we were also able to build friendships with one another and with the parents who stayed in our booths. 💙
