To be pro-active in responding to the needs of Philippine society in general, and the University of the Philippines and the Department of Military Science and Tactics in particular, in a manner that is both efficient and efficacious.

- In 1912, female students were selected and recruited to serve as the muses of the UP Corps of Cadets.
- During the establishment of the Commonwealth, the UPCoS trained as part of the Women’s Auxiliary Service.
- In 1949, the Corps of Sponsors was established in different U.P. units like Los Baños and Baguio.
- In 1968, the Sponsors went through special warfare training via the Rainbow Rangerettes.
- From the sixties onwards, the special military training of Sponsors continued, as did their participation and involvement in civic and social action.

Our P1,000 Gift Certificate Raffle was slightly derailed by bad weather last week but we're back on track with Week 2!

Want to know what this week's activity is?

Check out the announcements about the UP Corps of Sponsors entitled GOT YOUR CAMERA READY? that are displayed on chalkboards, whiteboards, and jeepneys all around campus.

To get 20 points, your task is to take a selfie with one of the GOT YOUR CAMERA READY? announcements (whether written on a board or tacked on a jeepney), post the picture on your facebook wall, AND tag the page UP Corps of Sponsors 2013 to notify us.
