PalaBANG Kween 2026 Successfully Empowers Youth Through Advocacy and Collective Action.
PalaBANG Kween 2026: Makabagong Kababaihan Laban sa Abuso at Pananamantala was successfully held on March 31, 2026, at the PUP College of Communication Audio-Visual Room, led by the PUP College of Communication Student Council (PUPCOCSC).
Gathering students, youth leaders, and advocates, the event served as a powerful platform to deepen conversations on womenโs empowerment, gender-based violence, and the urgent call to address systemic abuse and exploitation. More than just a gathering, PalaBANG Kween 2026 became a space for education, creative expression, and collective action.
Centered on the theme โMakabagong Kababaihan,โ the program highlighted the evolving identity of women in todayโs socio-political landscapeโnot only as individuals who endure struggles, but as active forces confronting injustice. The event also promoted inclusivity by welcoming people of all gender identities who stand in solidarity against abuse and exploitation.
The program featured insightful discussions from speakers Ka. Mimi Doringo, Mx. Faith Delos Santos, Mx. Precious Joy Colambo, Mx. Tracy Ramos, and Ms. Wellysa Torne, who shared their experiences, analyses, and calls for collective action.
In addition to the discussions, the event was energized by vibrant performances from Movers and Motions, Sining Lila, Baby Alive, Zephre Winx, Sycra Winx, and Jinxxiโblending art and advocacy into a dynamic เคฎเคเค of resistance and empowerment.
Key calls were also amplified during the event, including the removal of the 12% VAT, holding the government accountable, and defending press freedomโissues that remain critical in the broader fight for rights and justice.
As the program concluded, PUPCOCSC reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that amplify youth voices. Amid the continuing challenges of abuse and exploitation, PalaBANG Kween 2026 stood as a testament to the power of unity, awareness, and action in advancing a more just, equal, and accountable society.
