For the first time ever, we are bringing together the over 10,000 alumni scholars of Ateneo College since the Ateneo College Scholarship Program began in the 1960s. This milestone gathering is more than just a reunion—it is a celebration of shared stories, lasting friendships, and the transformative power of scholarship. More importantly, it is an opportunity to deepen alumni scholar engagement and encourage continued support for the scholarship program.

Join us on Saturday, November 8, from 5:00–9:00 PM at the Blue Eagle Gym, for an evening filled with music, memories, and meaning. Each ticket comes with a raffle entry, a limited edition Ateneo shirt, a dinner, and a donation to the scholarship program so that future generations may experience the same gift of education.

Tickets are available at ₱1,000, with special Early Bird and Barkada rates until October 17.

Congratulations to Team ARIA composed of Jason Harvey Lorenzo, Justin Kyle Ricafort, Cristina Ysabel Almario, and Dr. Erees Queen Macabebe as the adviser.

ARIA is an innovative retrofit-friendly intelligent air conditioning controller. It uses Deep Q-Network (DQN) reinforcement learning to autonomously optimize AC operation, balancing energy consumption with occupant thermal comfort. ARIA combines environmental sensing, real-time energy monitoring, and intelligent decision-making to automatically adjust AC settings based on learned patterns. Unlike traditional solutions relying on timers or fixed schedules, ARIA adapts in real time to changing room conditions and occupant needs. Simulation results show up to 33% energy savings and a 45% improvement in comfort on ideal configurations. By reducing energy waste, ARIA offers a pathway toward energy efficiency and financial wellness for Filipino families and institutions.

The final project presentation of the 2025 BPI-DOST Innovation Awards will be on 04 Dec 2025.

The Ateneo Energy Research Lab, in cooperation with the University of Pisa, is pleased to announce its upcoming hybrid introductory course on Power Systems Modeling using PyPSA (Python for Power System Analysis). This two-part course is open to all interested college students and young professionals, with a special invitation to those affiliated with the Department of Electronics, Computer, and Communications Engineering.

The sessions will be conducted by Engr. Arizeo Salac, a doctoral researcher from the University of Pisa. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of power system analysis. While prior experience in Python is a plus, a basic understanding of programming is sufficient.

The course will be held on September 17 and October 1, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM on both days. It will be conducted in a hybrid format, with in-person sessions at CTC Room 517 and online via Google Meet.

This course is free of charge. Registration is required and will close on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM. To register, please scan the QR code provided in the promotional image. Kindly note that slots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Only those who have registered will be sent the meeting link.

For further questions, please direct your inquiries to Marc Macalinao, Fellow at the Ateneo Energy Research Lab via [email protected].
