[NEWS] MBA Special Lecture Series in Strategic Management welcomes distinguished speakers

The BA 291.1 Special Lecture Series in Strategic Management opened on November 14, 2025 with an insightful lecture from Dr. Magdaleno B. Albarracin, Jr., Vice Chairman of PHINMA Corporation, who shared PHINMA’s strategic focus on ventures grounded in familiarity and how social responsibility can effectively coexist with profitability.

The series concluded on November 27, 2025 with a lecture from Mr. Vicente S. Quimbo, Founder of Bel Mondo Italia Corporation (Novellino Wines). Through an open-floor discussion, Mr. Quimbo discussed how a clear mission—making wine enjoyable and accessible to Filipinos as a symbol of celebration—has guided his strategic decisions in transforming wine for the Filipino palate. We thank our distinguished speakers for generously sharing their experiences and insights with our students.

[NEWS] Erik Capistrano is the new Dean of the UP Virata School of Business

In its 1404th meeting held on 26 November 2025, the UP Board of Regents appointed Professor Erik Paolo S. Capistrano, PhD, as the Dean of the UP Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business.

Dr. Capistrano will serve as the 16th Dean of the VSB.

[NEWS] October 2025 CPALE Results: UP Diliman produces 16 new CPAs; BSBAA alum ranks 3rd

We extend our warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to our 16 successful examinees who have officially joined the ranks of the nation's Certified Public Accountants following their exceptional performance in the October 2025 CPA Licensure Examination (CPALE), held last October 24-26, 2025. They join the 60 CPAs recognized by the college for passing the May 2025 CPALE.

Leading the roster of our new CPAs is Karla S. Lorena (BSBAA Class of 2025), who secured the 3rd highest place among all successful examinees nationwide.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 3,460 out of 10,171 examinees nationwide successfully passed.

To our new CPAs, may you carry the principles of honor and excellence in your professional journey.
