The UP Portia Sorority warmly congratulates Sis Michelle Diana Perey Maniwang-Basa for being appointed as Director IV of the Department of Justice - Office for Competition.

The Office for Competition provides legal guidance on the application and interpretation of competition policies and laws. As its main advocacy, the Office promotes the importance of competition law and educates the public and business sectors on the benefits of a competitive market environment.

With immense pride, we celebrate this well-deserved recognition with you, Sis Misch! You truly inspire us to continue to serve the public by championing equitable economic justice.

On April 26, 2026, the UP Portia Sorority capped off Kaleo: Portia 2026 through Aurea: The 93rd Portia Induction Ball to celebrate its 93rd year of sisterhood, excellence, and service.

It was a splendid evening of joy, grace, and laughter, as alumnae and residents reunited to welcome our new sisses and induct the 94th executive board.

Here’s to a great and purposeful year of growing together and embracing more opportunities to serve.💙⚖️

It is with great pride and honor that the UP Portia Sorority congratulates Sis Lia Cari Layos Manalo for being an awardee of the Foundation for Liberty and Prosperity legal scholarship. Li receives this honor for the second time after being conferred the same during her third year in law school.

The Foundation for Liberty and Prosperity, in partnership with the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, offers a highly competitive and merit-based scholarship to 3rd and 4th-year law students. As part of its core mission, the Foundation supports projects that promote, develop, and protect liberty and prosperity under the rule of law. Specifically, the Legal Scholarship program, in cooperation with the Philippine Law School Association, aims to seek and foster the country’s best and brightest law students.

We honor this accomplishment alongside you, Li! Your achievements continue to inspire us. Always and in all ways, Portian and Proud!
