ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Norte
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT | SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

For the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff, all face-to-face classes for the Grade 11 and Grade 12 afternoon shifts are suspended.

💻 Classes will shift to SYNCHRONOUS ONLINE LEARNING.

Students are advised to:
✅ Attend their scheduled online classes on time
✅ Check their official class platforms, LMS, email, or GC online channels
✅ Stay updated for announcements and instructions from their teachers

Due to the Yellow Heavy Rainfall Advisory and expected continuation of heavy rains this afternoon, all Mid-Shift and Afternoon Face-to-Face Classes starting at 1:00 PM today, August 13, 2026 (Thursday), will be shifted to Synchronous/Asynchronous Learning.

Students are advised to check their respective class group chats and online platforms for further instructions from their teachers.

CLASS SUSPENSION UPDATE
For: August 11, 2026

Due to continuing inclement weather, and following the directive from Quezon City Local Government, face to face classes for both Senior High School and Higher Education are suspended.

However, office transactions and enrollment for freshmen college is still open and remains operational.

Due to the anticipated adverse weather conditions brought about by the Habagat and in line with the recommendation of the QCDRRMC, all Senior High School classes at Gardner College shall shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (Synchronous/Asynchronous) today, Thursday, August 6, 2026.
