Good Day World Citizens!

Today we celebrate the sacrifices of the Filipino people who stood above and exceeded themselves for the betterment of many. In history, every last Monday of August is celebrated as the "National Heros Day". This is to commemorate the Cry of Pugad Lawin, the start of revolt against the Spaniards.

Also important to remember are the heroes of today. People who put in a lot of effort and inspire us to improve and aim for the better.

This day is intended to appreciate the people who we consider our heros. They may not be approved by the National Heros Commission, but they are our personal savior. Thus, celebrate this day with gratitude my fellow Filipinos!

Today, as we mark Ninoy Aquino Day every August 21, we remember not just a date on the calendar, but a moment that changed the course of our history. On this day in 1983, former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino Jr. was assassinated at the Manila International Airport upon returning from exile—a tragedy that ignited public outrage and eventually led to the People Power Revolution of 1986.

The holiday was formally established through Republic Act No. 9256, signed into law by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on February 25, 2004—exactly 21 years after Ninoy's death and 18 years after People Power. Unlike regular holidays, Ninoy Aquino Day is a special non-working holiday.

Good Day World Citizens!

Quezon Day is celebrated every August 19 of each year, as stated in Republic Act 6741. The date that marks Commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon's birthday. It is not the foundation day of the city as many assumes.

This holiday honours an important figure in Philippine history, who gave his name to Quezon City and Quezon Province.

In history, from 1948 to 1976, Quezon City was known as the capital of the Philippines.

Yesterday, July 13, 2026, the library proudly hosted the 𝑴𝒄𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒘 𝑯𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈, attended by the College Deans, Program Heads, and Faculty Members of the Allied Programs.

The session created a valuable space for collaboration, strengthening academic support, and deepening the use of learning resources to further enhance quality instruction.

Our educators continue to grow, adapt, and inspire through their commitment to excellence.
