PHI ALPHA SIGMA SORORITY (est. 1960), the first and only academic sorority of the UERM College of Medicine, is a sisterhood of academically inclined and well-rounded medical students. Sis Zashka has continually pursued excellenceโ€”not only in caring for patients, but in transforming healthcare systems. As a Public Health Practitioner, she serves as the Unit Head of the National Practice Guidelines Program Unit at the Department of Health's Disease Prevention and Control Bureau, where she leads the development and appraisal of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, Omnibus Health Guidelines, and primary care strategies that strengthen healthcare delivery across the Philippines. Through her leadership in evidence generation, guideline implementation and translation, and health policy, her work continues to shape the future of public health and improve the lives of countless Filipinos.
