Happy International Day of Sign Languages!

Today, we celebrate the beauty, diversity, and importance of sign languages around the world. Sign language is more than communication. It is a human right and an important part of Deaf people’s linguistic identity and culture.

This year’s theme, “Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights,” reminds us to uphold equality, dignity, recognition, and access to sign languages.
