The Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University (ACFJ) invites students, journalists, and visual storytellers to PITIK 2025 — a forum that explores how visual journalism and culture have long been shaped by masculine perspectives.

Who looks, who frames, and who is seen often reflect deeper structures of power. PITIK 2025 challenges us to rethink the politics of looking and to explore alternative gazes — feminist, q***r, decolonial, and community-centered.

Guest Speaker: Geela Garcia, DVJ alumna and freelance photojournalist
She will share her photo essay “Alaya”, which follows the stories of former s*x workers in Angeles City, along with insights from her creative journey and process.
