Quezon, Palawan | July 7, 2026 โ Western Philippines University (WPU), through the Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC), successfully conducted the Simultaneous Oath-Taking and Induction Ceremony of the newly elected officers of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and recognized student organizations across all WPU campuses via Zoom.
At the WPUโQuezon Campus, the ceremony was held at the Multimedia Hall, bringing together faculty members, organization advisers, outgoing officers, newly elected student leaders, and students in a celebration of leadership, commitment, and service.
The program began with an Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) of the prayer, the Philippine National Anthem, and the WPU Hymn, followed by the Welcome Remarks of Assistant Professor Ailyn G. Randolph, MCD, Campus Administrator of WPUโQuezon Campus.
One of the highlights of the event was the simultaneous induction and oath-taking of the newly elected officers from all campuses, symbolizing their shared commitment to responsible and transformative leadership. At WPUโQuezon Campus, the ceremony was followed by the ceremonial turnover of the Key of Responsibilities among the outgoing and incoming Presidents, Treasurers, and Secretaries, signifying a smooth transition of leadership.
The program also featured intermission performances by the Tanglaw Organization, adding vibrancy and inspiration to the celebration.
Outgoing SSC President Ms. Kimberly L. Vicente delivered the "Fruit of Words," reflecting on her leadership journey and encouraging the incoming officers to serve with dedication, humility, and purpose. Certificates of Recognition were likewise awarded to the outgoing officers in appreciation of their invaluable service and contributions.
Representing the new generation of student leaders, newly elected SSC President Mr. Lodebar Asdali delivered his acceptance message, expressing his commitment to lead with integrity, foster collaboration, and pursue initiatives that will benefit the entire student body.
The ceremony concluded with the Closing Remarks of Ms. Metchecana D. Peralta, followed by a photo opportunity with faculty advisers, outgoing officers, and the newly inducted student leaders.
The simultaneous Oath-Taking and Induction Ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter of student leadership across Western Philippines University, reaffirming the institution's commitment to developing empowered, responsible, and service-oriented student leaders who will contribute positively to their respective campuses and communities.
