In celebration of Agriculturists Month, the Mobile Photography Contest was successfully held on July 16, 2026, at the DMMMSUโ€“South La Union Campus (SLUC) College of Agriculture. The competition showcased the creativity and artistic vision of students as they captured the beauty, dedication, and significance of agriculture through the lens of their mobile phones. Each entry reflected the passion, resilience, and inspiring stories behind farming and agricultural life.

The success of this competition was made possible through the valuable contributions of our distinguished Board of Judgesโ€”John Clifold Lopez, Warlly Cacanando, and Johnny Corcha Jr. Their expertise, keen eye for detail, and fair evaluation ensured the selection of deserving winners and greatly contributed to the integrity and success of the event. The College of Agriculture officially opened its Pre-Pageant on July 15, 2026, as each section proudly presented its official candidates for the Sports Meet and Culture & Arts Festival 2026. Guided by the theme, โ€œPUNLA: Pagpupunyagi Tungo sa Ugnayan ng Natatanging Lokal na Agrikultura at Kultura,โ€ the event celebrated not only beauty and talent but also the values, creativity and cultural heritage of the College of Agriculture.

The opening program was led by Dr. Janice D. Usi, College Dean, through her welcome and opening remarks. Dr. Ralph Carungay, Sports Head, encouraged the athletes to embrace every challenge with confidence, reminding them that, โ€œManalo man o matalo, every experience is an opportunity to learn.
