UNIVERSITY | Filamerian Community Gathers for the Final Day of CEW 2026

The Filamerian community gathered for the culminating day of the first-semester Christian Emphasis Week (CEW) 2026, themed “YADAH,” bringing students, faculty, and staff together in worship, reflection, fellowship, and renewed faith.

The celebration served as a time for the Filamerian community to reflect on the messages shared throughout the week and carry their lessons of faith, hope, purpose, and surrender beyond the CEW gathering.

Anchored on Genesis 50:20, Esther 4:14, and John 10:10, the week reminded Filamerians that God can bring purpose even from difficult circumstances, that each person may have a meaningful role in His purpose, and that Christ came so that we may have life and have it abundantly.

May the words and lessons shared by the preachers throughout CEW 2026 remain in our hearts, encouraging us to surrender our stories, trust God’s purpose, and allow Him to lead our lives.

As CEW 2026 comes to a close, may “YADAH” continue to remind every Filamerian to place their faith, stories, and future in the hands of Jesus Christ.

“God Can Transform Our Tests into Testimonies”

Pastor Kent Christian P. Delotavo encouraged Filamerians to view their struggles not as the end of their stories, but as chapters that God can transform according to His purpose.

He reminded students that every journey includes challenges, failures, and uncertainties, yet these experiences do not define the whole of their lives.

“But God gave His life to us. Trust Jesus Christ. He is the author of your life,” Delotavo emphasized.

As the Creator, God knows every part of a person’s journey and can turn even broken and difficult experiences into something meaningful.

“God has the ability to transform our plain stories because He is the author of our life,” he said.

His message encouraged students to surrender their struggles and uncertainties to God, trusting that He is still working even in the chapters they may not yet understand.

Ultimately, Delotavo reminded the students that their present struggles do not have to be the ending of their stories—God can transform their tests into testimonies.

"God, the Divine Author, Can Rewrite Any Story"

Pastor Kim A. Garay led the third day of Christ Emphasis Week 2026 at the FCU Gym on September 16, sharing a message of hope, patience, and faith.

Anchored on the theme “Re-Written,” Garay reminded Filamerians that no matter how broken their stories may seem, God’s grace can transform every chapter into a meaningful testimony.

“Sometimes, it is not for us to know what God has been doing. We simply need to be patient and faithful.”

UNIVERSITY | CCJE joins Christ Emphasis Week, embraces call to surrender and trust God

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) joined the first-semester Christ Emphasis Week (CEW) 2026 alongside the College of Teacher Education (CTE) at the FCU Gym on September 15.

Anchored on the theme “Re-Written,” this semester’s CEW encouraged Filamerians to pause, reflect, and surrender their stories to God, drawing inspiration from Genesis 50:20, Esther 4:14, and John 10:10.

Pastor Jemaima Salmeron delivered a message centered on hope, faith, surrender, and trusting God’s purpose. She reminded students that while pain and struggles may become part of their journey, these experiences should never define their identity.

“God is working in your story. Stop letting your pain define you. Your struggle is real, but your struggle is not your identity,” Salmeron emphasized.

She further encouraged students facing exhaustion, uncertainty, and difficult seasons to turn to God instead of giving up, reminding them to allow Him to guide and protect them through life’s challenges.

For the CCJE community, the gathering served as an opportunity to strengthen faith, reflect on personal journeys, and embrace the reminder that God can transform even the most difficult chapters into stories of purpose and hope.

As CEW 2026 continues, Filamerians are encouraged to surrender their stories to God and trust that He can re-write every chapter according to His purpose.
