Last October 8, 2026, Pundar Publication in partnership with the Capiz State University Roxas City Main Campus Library and CAPSU Public Information Office conducted the Balntataw Journalism Training Workshop.

The student-writers and editors from Pundar Publication of the College of Engineering and Architecture participated in the whole day eve t.

In the morning session, Marco Jeslie Tuazon, Information Officer I of the Public Information Unit, who discussed the basics of photojournalism. He was followed Ralph Gerard Cadiz, Information Officer II of the Public Information Unit, who spearheaded the lecture-workshop on feature writing.

In the afternoon session, Assoc. Prof. Christian George Acevedo, Head of Library Services of the Roxas City Main Campus, conducted a workshop on literary writing.

The whole-day activity was facilitated Dr. Mary Vincentia O. Beldia, adviser of the Pundar Publication.

It is hoped that activities like this will continue to inspire the younger generation to take up the pen and continue to write, despite the proliferation of artificial intellegence.

Long before laboratories, textbooks, and digital simulations, arrived in our schools, our mind was already filled with stories. We were told stories to lull us to sleep after lunch, or when our grandmother would tell us important life lessons.

✨ GENERAL ORIENTATION 2026 ✨

The Capiz State University Roxas City Main Campus Library librarians participated in the Generation Orientation 2026 organized by the CAPSU Main Guidance and Counseling Services on August 11–12, 2026.

The General Orientation gave our librarians the opportunity to provide our freshman students with information and guidance on the library services that they can avail and in utilizing our library resources.

Dr. Emmy S. Batuigas, College Librarian III, and Mrs. Dianesa T. Bialen, College Librarian I, spearheaded the orientation on library objectives, services, programs, and policies to the first year students across the different colleges of the campus.
