Day 3 of the FSSC and FFLP Leadership Training-Workshop 2026

The morning began with a Mangrove Planting and Clean-up Drive at Brgy. Buntod, Panay, Capiz. Student leaders and advisers worked hand in hand with Brgy. officials and MENRO officers in planting young mangrove seedlings along the coastal area and collecting waste to help restore and protect the environment. Meanwhile, DRRMO personnel ensured that the area was safe, and secure throughout the activity.

This activity reflects the advocacy of both the Federation of Supreme Student Council and the Federation of Future Leaders of the Philippines, to promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and active community service among student leaders.

Afterward, everyone returned to the venue at Villa Consorcia, Pontevedra, Capiz for the closing ceremony. Dr. Efren L. Linan, University President, delivered an inspiring message. Messages were also given by the newly elected and outgoing officers of the FSSC and FFLP. The event was formally closed by Hon. Jinky Mae T. Bargo, Student Regent, who reminded all participants to apply the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained from the training-workshop in serving their respective campuses and communities.

Day 2 of the FSSC & FFLP Leadership Training-Workshop 2026 reminded us that leadership is more than a position but it is about service, commitment, and a responsibility.

Prof. Jumar Q. Apoyo encouraged us to turn struggles into strength: “We all have our own frustrations... embrace that, then focus on things that you’re good at and flourish.” Growth starts when we accept our challenges and use them to thrive.

Atty. Mark D. Borres challenged us on commitment: “If you want to be a great leader, learn the basic things... and be ready to pay the price.” and “I believe you’ve given your one hundred percent in service, when it already hurts.” True service is sacrificial, and excellence demands discipline.

Atty. Margaret Dy grounded us in accountability: “Lead. Serve. Inspire. Repeat. Survive.” and “Your safety is a shared responsibility.” As leaders, we must protect our teams and uphold proper protocols.

Rogin L. Ubamos, Former FSSC VP called us to lead ethically: “use AI wisely and ethically.” We agree, innovation should never come at the cost of respect for others’ craft and our environment.

Julie O. Deslate, Former Student Regent, left an inspiring message: “Lumipad ng mataas, mangarap ng wagas, huwag maging mapagmataas, at manatiling patas sa bawat bukas.” As student leaders, let’s dream big but stay humble and fair in all that we do.

Here’s to CAPSU leaders who choose to innovate, strategize, and lead with purpose. 💙💛

Day 1.2: The Socialization Night

After a day of dynamic energy poured into learning, and workshop activities, the elected presidents of each campus and satellite college came together for an evening of camaraderie, connection, and celebration.

The Socialization Night was a chance to set aside the formalities, get to know fellow leaders beyond their titles, and strengthen the bonds that will carry us throughout our leadership journey.

Through his wit, FFLP President Ramel Flores emerged as the best Presenter for the Team Identity Challenge.

Adding a touch of elegance to the evening, Outgoing President Charlene Arendaying of FLP Mambusao and Outgoing President Christory Lapidante of SSC Sigma were recognized as the Best Dressed, standing out among the many stylish ensembles inspired by the “Old Money” theme.

The night reached its highlight as Outgoing President Lorenz Daryl Lequip of CAPSU Tapaz and Newly Elected President Jafeth Buenvenida of CAPSU Dayao were crowned King and Queen of the Night, respectively.

The FSSC and FFLP will conduct a Mangrove Planting and Clean-Up Drive activity at Brgy. Buntod, Panay, Capiz on August 14, 2026 as part of the three-day leadership training workshop and in coordination with the LGU of Panay. The activity aims to promote environmental stewardship, community involvement, and sustainable practices among student leaders.

IN PHOTOS | Day 1.1: The Start of New Beginnings

The newly elected FSSC and FFLP presidents and outgoing presidents of each campuses and satellite colleges gathered for their first day of the anticipated FSSC and FFLP Leadership Training-Workshop 2026 with the theme “iLEAD: Empowering CAPSU Leaders through Innovation, Strategic Planning, and Transformative Action.”

The session commenced with the participants were warmly welcomed by Dr. Fabian D. Tomco, FSSC Adviser. The statement of purpose was theb delivered by Student Regent Jinky Mae D. Bargo, followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Jay Ann D. Gregorio, SAS Director.

The plenary session then began with the first topic delivered by Prof. Alexis E. Buenafe, FFLP Adviser, titled “Strategic Planning for Student Leaders: From Vision to Action.”

To conclude the day's workshop activities, the final topic, was then presented by Atty. Toche Vic Doce, OIC VP Administration and Finance. The topic centered on the title: “Strategic Financial Leadership: Proper Budgeting and Utilization of Funds for Impactful Student-Led Initiatives.”
