Promoting a culture of peace, awareness and community safety the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) University Student Government (USG) successfully held the 𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒚𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒖𝒎 202026 on September 14 2026 at the SUNN Library Escalante Campus.

The symposium featured discussions from representatives of the 79𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 "𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧" 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲, the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 - 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 and the 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐍 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐱 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 sharing valuable insights, on peace-building, crime prevention, public safety and mental and social well-being.

Also taking part in the event our 𝗔𝗕𝗢́𝗡𝗢 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘅𝗷𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗼, who joined fellow students and participants in learning and engaging in discussions that promote a safer more peaceful and supportive campus community.

The orientation gave a deeper look into the 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗, discussed by 𝖧𝗈𝗇. 𝖩𝗂𝖾𝗍𝗁 𝖪𝗎𝗋𝖻𝗒 𝖠𝗀𝗈𝗁𝖺𝗒𝗈𝗇, and the 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠, presented by our 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿, 𝖧𝗈𝗇. 𝖬𝖺𝗋𝗄 𝖣𝖺𝗇𝖾 𝖣𝖾𝗅𝖺 𝖯𝖾𝗇̃𝖺. These discussions reminded each organization that being student leaders is more than just holding a position, it’s about accountability, transparency, teamwork, and genuine service. 💰📊

𝐀𝐁𝐎́𝐍𝐎 also made it to the 𝗧𝗢𝗣 10 organizations that completed the 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀! 👏

This achievement was made possible through the dedication and hard work of our 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 lead by 𝖯𝗋𝖾𝗌. 𝖱𝖾𝗑𝗃𝗁𝗈𝗇 𝖣. 𝖬𝖺𝗒𝗈𝗋𝖽𝗈𝗆𝗈, together with the commitment of the entire Abono family. 💙

The long wait is finally over, and the excitement of the COLLEGE OF EDUCATION family turned into pure joy and wonderful mixed emotions!

This celebration wasn’t just for AFA — it was a beautiful gathering open to all college of education and co-majors across the university! Held on September 4, 2026 at Beach House Resort, Old Sagay, Sagay City, under the theme “Meet Beyond the Major: Bridging Future Educators,” the event was filled with fun, laughter, and unity for every student and faculty member who joined!

With the goal of building connections, creating memories, and celebrating togetherness, the event brought future educators from different programs closer as one College of Education family. 🤝✨

From fun-filled moments and exciting activities to laughter, conversations, and unforgettable memories, the night was a perfect opportunity for everyone to step away from the usual academic routine and simply enjoy the company of one another. 🌴🌙

Their stories remind us that true heroism is not only found in grand acts, but also in the courage to stand for what is right and to serve others.
