State University of Northern Negros (SUNN)
Flag Raising Ceremony
August 24, 2026

During today’s flag-raising ceremony, Dr. Renante A. Egcas reiterated the importance of strict compliance with the institution’s established gate and security protocols. He reminded all students, faculty members, and staff that everyone is required to undergo the prescribed scanning procedure upon entering the school premises, regardless of whether they enter on foot or by car, motorcycle, or other vehicle.

Dr. Egcas further emphasized that students, faculty members, and staff who intend to bring vehicles inside the campus must secure the required vehicle sticker/pass. This measure is part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to strengthen campus security, ensure proper vehicle identification, and maintain a safe and orderly environment for the entire school community.

Through the cooperation and shared responsibility of every SUNNRay, these measures contribute to a campus culture where safety, accountability, and responsible conduct remain a collective priority. Such efforts reflect the institution’s continuing commitment to providing a secure and inclusive environment conducive to learning, work, and community engagement.

These initiatives also complement the broader principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, by promoting responsible institutional practices and a safe, orderly community, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, through measures that support a secure and well-managed campus environment.
