𝐒𝐒𝐂 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

The Supreme Student Council (SSC) has officially introduced four (4) resolutions aimed at strengthening student welfare, promoting environmental sustainability, improving communication channels, and supporting the continuous development of ESSU-Salcedo Campus.

These resolutions reflect the Council’s commitment to responsible governance, transparency, and meaningful service for the student body. Each measure was carefully crafted to address key concerns within the campus, including environmental initiatives, student support systems, feedback mechanisms, and campus maintenance efforts.

All four resolutions were unanimously approved on March 31, 2026, by the Supreme Student Council, signifying a unified effort to advance student-centered policies and programs.

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 💜

In honor of 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, we invite everyone to participate in a series of engaging activities, inspiring talks, and meaningful interactions that highlight gender equality and inclusivity. This program is made possible through the collaboration of the Supreme Student Council and the Gender and Development Office, working together to promote awareness, active participation, and empowerment within the ESSU Salcedo community. The event will be held on March 30, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, at the New Gymnasium.

This celebration reinforces our shared commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and continued advocacy for gender equality.

Poster Making Contest, Slogan Making Contest, and Spoken Poetry are open to all ESSUdyantes. Each college will have two representatives per contest. Interested participants may contact their respective Mother Organization President or directly message Mr. David A. Canillas, SSC External Vice President.

Participants are required to bring their own materials, including a 1/4 illustration board and coloring materials. Please check the caption of each picture for the criteria of each contest.

𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐝𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭!

This March 28, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, we invite everyone to participate in Earth Hour—a global movement that reminds us that even the smallest actions can create a big impact.

By simply turning off non-essential lights for one hour, we show our commitment to protecting the Earth and raising awareness about climate change. But beyond the hour, this is also a call for us to live more sustainably in our daily lives.

Let this be more than just a moment of darkness—let it be a symbol of hope, unity, and action. Together as ESSUdyantes, we can inspire change and make a difference for future generations.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈: 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔–𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐈 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬

𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐔𝐀𝐍, 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 — Three student leaders from 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 were elected to key positions in the 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. (𝐅𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐈) during the university-wide election held Friday, March 13, at the Function Hall of ESSU–Guiuan.

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐒. 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧, president of the 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐒𝐒𝐂) of ESSU–Salcedo, was elected external vice president. 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐀. 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐬, SSC external vice president, secured the position of treasurer, while 𝐊𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐀. 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐚, SSC secretary, was elected public relations officer.

Other newly elected FSCOI officials include 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐡 𝐈𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐌. 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧 of ESSU–Guiuan as president; 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐲 of ESSU–Can-avid as internal vice president; 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐚 of ESSU–Guiuan as secretary; and 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 of ESSU–Maydolong as auditor.

The election gathered student leaders from various ESSU campuses, including ESSU–Main, ESSU–Guiuan, ESSU–Salcedo, ESSU–Maydolong, and ESSU–Can-avid, to select the new set of FSCOI officers who will represent the university’s student body.

The activity opened with preliminary ceremonies and welcome remarks from Jake P. Rayla, treasurer of the SSC of ESSU–Guiuan, who underscored the role of student leaders in strengthening student governance across the university.

Hagai B. Caratay, chairperson of the Senate Electoral Commission (SEC), also delivered a message assuring participants that the electoral process would be conducted with fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Following the opening program, the SEC facilitated the filing of candidacies and the introduction of SSC officers from the participating campuses. Official candidates were then presented by SEC Vice Chairperson John Carlo A. Gabiana.

Candidates introduced themselves and presented their platforms during the campaign period, which included a question-and-answer segment with fellow student leaders.

Voting resumed after the lunch break, with the SEC overseeing the election process. Votes were tallied immediately afterward, culminating in the proclamation of the winning candidates led by Caratay.

The newly elected FSCOI officials will take their oath of office before Dr. Andres Pagatpatan at the ESSU Main Campus, with the schedule to be announced.

The FSCOI serves as the highest student governing and policy-making body of Eastern Samar State University and acts as the collective voice of ESSU students across its campuses.

𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🤍

Earlier today, February 27, the Supreme Student Council successfully conducted the first batch of our Mini Donation Drive at Eastern Samar State University – Salcedo Campus in celebration of the Month of Love.

Our selected ESSUdyante beneficiaries were given groceries, snacks, and decluttered clothes shared by generous donors. Through this simple act, we were able to extend care and support to our fellow students in need.

At the SSC, we believe that helping those in need is a true expression of love and unity. We hope that through these donations, we have inspired others to help one another and continue spreading kindness within our community.

This is only the first batch, and we will be conducting another one next Friday. We are still accepting donations. You may contact us through our page or directly message David Arica Canillas, External Vice President.
