⚡ Reflect. Review. Recharge! ⚡

The UST Department of Electrical Engineering successfully conducted its 3-Day Year-End Assessment and Evaluation for AY 2025–2026, last July 27–29, 2026, at the Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, O.P. Building!

Over three productive days, our EE faculty members came together to:
🔹Review our KP*s, process lessons learned, and identify operational gaps from AY 2025–2026.
🔹Align new Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Student Outcomes (SOs), and Performance Indicators (P*s).
🔹Review BSEE Curriculum and plan for future curriculum advancements.
🔹Strategize department activities, assign teaching loads, and write upcoming Course Plans.
🔹Unwind with team-building activities, synthesized insights, and a fellowship dinner!

A huge thank you to all our faculty members, coordinators, and administrators for their commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement for our Thomasian Electrical Engineering community.

The UST Faculty of Engineering community is advised to remain vigilant against phishing and impersonation attempts using external email accounts.

Recently, an individual posing as a University official created a Google Chat account using the name of the Dean of the UST Faculty of Engineering but with the email address:

[email protected]

⚠️ Please be reminded that:
👉 Official University of Santo Tomas email accounts always end with .edu.ph.
👉 There are no legitimate UST email accounts that end with gmail.com, yahoo.com, or any other public email domain.
👉 Be cautious when receiving unsolicited messages requesting information, asking for your location, personal details, passwords, verification codes, or any confidential data.
👉 Always verify the sender's email address before responding or engaging in any conversation.
👉 If you receive a suspicious message, do not reply, click any links, or share any information. Report it immediately to any UST Official pages.

Let us all remain vigilant and help protect our University community from phishing and social engineering attacks.

EE Department Hybrid Learning Modality for 1st Term, AY 2026 - 2027

The default mode of instruction for the 1st Term is Face-to-Face (Onsite) lectures, including onsite Preliminary and Final Examinations for all year levels.

📝 Preliminary Examinations (Onsite): October 9–15, 2026 (Friday to Thursday the following week)
📝 Final Examinations (Onsite): December 14–18, 2026 (Monday to Friday)
💻 Enriched Virtual Mode (EVM) — Select weeks will be conducted fully online to allow flexibility in instruction and enrichment activities.
📌 EVM Weeks (Virtual/Online): August 7, 2026; November 4-7, 2026; November 23-26, 2026)

⚠️ Please monitor announcements for any schedule adjustments, temporary shift to EVM, or suspension of classes due to weather conditions, official university advisories, or other relevant circumstances.

Congratulations to Our Newly Appointed PAASCU Officials!

The University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Engineering proudly congratulates two of our esteem faculty members, Asst. Prof. Carlito M. Gutierrez, MSc on his appointment as Chairperson and Assoc. Prof. Cristina E. Tiangco, PhD on her appointment as Member of the PAASCU Commission on Engineering and Architecture Education for Academic Year 2026–2027.

Their appointments reflect their unwavering commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and the continuous advancement of engineering education in the Philippines. The Faculty takes pride in this well-deserved recognition and is confident that they will make meaningful contributions to the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU).

Earlier today, July 24, 2026, faculty members from the UST Electrical Engineering Department underwent specialized training on our newly acquired state-of-the-art LabVolt Equipment in Lab 8X.

The training focused on mastering two key units—the Four-Quadrant Dynamometer and the Data Acquisition Module—ensuring our lab facilities remain at the forefront of modern engineering education.

With our faculty now certified and the equipment fully integrated, these new tools are ready to provide our Thomasian engineers with enhanced, industry-standard practical learning experiences.

We look forward to utilizing these advanced facilities to further strengthen our department’s commitment to academic excellence and technical innovation!

⚡ LOOKING BACK TO LEAP FORWARD: EE PLANNING 2025 ⚡

As we strive for academic excellence, the UST Department of Electrical Engineering looks back on a milestone of collaboration and strategy. We are pleased to share the highlights of the EE Department Planning 2025 held last July 11–13, 2025.

During this intensive three-day session, our academic staff conducted a rigorous curriculum review, concluded the Year-End Assessment for AY 2024–2025, mapped out strategic plans for AY 2025–2026, and engaged in team-building activities to strengthen our synergy.

This throwback also serves as a preview as we gear up for EE Planning 2026. The department will soon conduct its Year-End Assessment for AY 2025–2026 and Strategic Planning for AY 2026–2027 on July 27 to July 29, 2026.
