Congratulations to our very own Alumni, AJ Navarro!! 🤩💜

Your MusTech fam is so proud of you! ❣️

The Conservatory would like to congratulate its alumnus, Mr. AJ Navarro for being the grand winner in the Young Creatives Challenge Songwriting Category. His composition, Takipsilim won in the category.

The Young Creatives Challenge (YC2) is a major nationwide competition in the Philippines designed to inspire, recognize, and showcase the country’s brightest young creative talents. Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the initiative serves as the premier platform for artistic growth and national recognition under the government's Malikhaing Pinoy (Creative Philippines) Program.

Takipsilim is an opm track about the composer's fear of missing out with friends and wanting to stay in the moment. It evokes escapism, nostalgia and uses the beach as a lyrical setting. It is currently unreleased. This was originally presented in my Junior Recital for the "Recording of Original Work"

AJ was a Music Technology student who graduated this year. His professors were former dean, Assoc. Prof. Antonio P. Africa, PhD, and Inst. Manolito "B**gbong" Manalang, Jr.

Congratulations once again, AJ! And to your professors as well!
