The University of the Philippines Baguio, College of Social Sciences, Institute of Management held its successful completion of the Strategy Paper Colloquium for the Master of Management program last May 7, 2026.

This academic exercise represents the culmination of advanced graduate study, requiring the integration of strategic frameworks to address complex organizational challenges.

Last April 30, 2026, the Federation of Student Council - Student Body Organization Graduation Ball served as a beautiful conclusion to a year defined by hard work, growth, and collective triumph. As the curtains were drawn on this academic chapter, we find ourselves reflecting on the pillars of support that made our achievements possible.

It is with immense honor and a deep sense of gratitude that we celebrate our very own SBO Adviser, Dr. Lady Mae B. Calderon, for her prestigious recognition as one of the Top 10 SBO Advisers, ranking Top 6. 🏆✨

To stand among the top advisers is a testament to her tireless commitment to student welfare and her belief that student leaders are the creators of the future. This award is a reflection of her grace under pressure and her ability to inspire to reach greater heights.

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The College of Management took part in the University Student Council Leadership Training 2026 held on April 23–24, 2026, at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU MLUC), carrying the theme “Pangil ng Pamumuno: Paghasa ng Kaisipang Manglingkod.”

Student leaders from the college, including BSBA delegates Shannen Villacorta, Reggie Adam Abubo, Keirolyn Balcita, Ariane Drew Seto Lam, and Ahron Galinato, together with Ral Fangonilo of BPA, actively engaged in the two-day training alongside participants from different campuses.

Assigned to various tribus, they immersed themselves in seminars on transformational leadership, strategic management, and parliamentary procedures, as well as collaborative activities such as the World Café project presentations, where Seto Lam was recognized as Best Presenter and Most Active Participant. The event also featured interactive and team-building activities, including the Yell Competition, Socialization Night, Quiz Bee, and Amazing Race, which strengthened camaraderie and leadership in action.

Spearheaded by USC President Jorge Daniel Malapit under the guidance of Dr. Ladymae Calderon, and made possible through the collaborative efforts of facilitators from all Campus Student Body Organizations and Campus Student Councils, the training became a dynamic and enriching platform for leadership development. It equipped the College of Management delegates with enhanced skills, meaningful connections, and a strengthened sense of responsibility to lead with purpose, integrity, and service.

College of Management Conducts Deliberation for Graduating Students

The College of Management formally conducted the Deliberation of Candidates for Graduation on April 13, 2026, at the COM Audiovisual Room. The activity was participated in by faculty members from the different departments—BSOA, BSBA, BSHM, and BPA—who collectively reviewed and evaluated the academic records of the graduating students.

This important process ensured that all candidates have satisfactorily met the academic requirements, institutional standards, and policies of the college. The deliberation reflects the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and the quality of its graduates as they prepare to take the next step in their professional journeys.
